44 year old mother of three beautiful children. I am also a chiropractor. I stay active by running, swimming, snow skiing, water skiing, and horse back riding. Being a working Mom I have trouble fitting a structured exercise routine into my life. I also adjust horses, dogs, cats, and many other four footed creatures. Dear Beachbody, I can’t thank you enough for what you have done for me. I was 43 years old, 5 feet tall and at least 20 pounds overweight! I have always been athletic, but after the birth of my third child, I found myself 40 pounds overweight. I lost 20 pounds by myself, but the next 20 refused to come off. I tried so many different ways to lose it over the last seven years I lost count. My will power was zero. I not only ate too much, but often the wrong foods. I became a vegetarian hoping that would help me lose weight; I mean how can you get fat on salads? Unfortunately, corn chips are vegetables, right? No meat in a cookie is there? Worked for me. Or so I justified. I was only lying to myself.
My husband showed me the beachbody.com website in early January 2007. I was very impressed with the results and the testimonials I saw. The photos did not seem fake or retouched. People didn’t always have a new pose, hairstyle, or tan to enhance the after photo. These were real people with what looked like real results. And they weren’t just results, these people were ripped! Not just skinnier. Wow! That’s what I wanted. I was tired of the excuses, as I am sure my husband was as well…”I’m only five feet tall so extra weight on me looks like more than on someone taller, I will never be skinny again after giving birth to three children, I will never have that body of my twenties again, training/dieting doesn’t fit into my work/kids schedules…” I used every excuse in the book why I couldn’t do it. And guess what? I WAS RIGHT!! Of course I was right, I had preprogrammed myself for failure. I had already failed before I even started.
This time was going to be different. (if I had a dollar for every time I had said that) This time I knew I was going to succeed. I wanted my 110 pound body back. I ordered the power 90 series immediately. I began my workouts the day it came. I signed up for the MDB club and a coach. Coach Dave has been a lifesaver. Since then I have only missed three workouts (when I was sick). I have lost six pounds and gone from 30% body fat to 26%. I went from a size ten jean to a size six! That doesnt seem like all that much when there are people who lose 50 pounds in their first 90 days, but I am ecstatic! I know I am going to lose all the weight I want. I am putting on more muscle. I can do more push ups than ever in my life. I am not as jiggly! I can't wait to see what I look like in a year! This is a new lifestyle and I am choosing to be in it!

Update: week 6 of P90X! I love this workout! The nutrition program that goes with it is excellent!
Update: week 12 of P90X. I have lost another inch off my chest, hips and waist! And I can finally do a pull up! Havent done that since High School!
Update: Round 2 of P90X. I can do 13 dips! When I started I couldnt do any! Lost a couple more pounds and %.
