I recently turned 33; I live in Indianapolis smack in the middle of the ever-changing weather of the Midwest. I recently become the proud father of twin girls, which accompanies my two other children; a 7 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. As you can imagine, by just knowing that; life is busy!
I had been looking to make a physical life style change for a while now, but hadn't found the right solution until I was introduced to P90X.
Back in early 2009, a friend of mine mentioned that he was starting a new workout routine called P90X and it intrigued me. At the time, I was one of those has been high-school athletes that fell victim to apathy in physical activity and overindulgence at the dinner table. I wasn’t obese, or really THAT overweight, but I would certainly not consider myself to be in shape.
I wasn't really looking to lose weight, but gain muscle mass and shed some of the excess around the mid-section.
Later that week, I started looking into the P90X program and saw enough evidence that purchased the DVDs from the infomercial. While I waited for the delivery of the little package that would change my life, I started looking into the equipment that was needed to get started. I got all of the equipment and a few days later, the DVDs had arrived.
I officially started P90X on Monday, April 20, 2009 and successfully completed the program on Saturday July 18th, 2009. Since then I have completed several additional rounds of P90X, P90X+ and a few of the One-on-One series sessions. Below are some photos of my results from the first 90 days of P90X. As you can see from the results, this program WORKS and I consider myself to be a firm believer in it.

Back in early 2009, a friend of mine mentioned that he was starting a new workout routine called P90X and it intrigued me. At the time, I was one of those “has been” high-school athletes that fell victim to apathy in physical activity and overindulgence at the dinner table. I wasn’t obese, or really THAT overweight, but I would certainly not consider myself to be in shape. I was subconsciously embarrassed of my outward appearance and my personal confidence was a reflection of this.
Later that week, I started looking into the P90X program and saw enough evidence that I purchased the DVDs from the infomercial. I didn’t purchase the first time I watched it, it was probably after the 4th 0r 5th time, some how my remote would always land on the channel with that commercial airing.
I never missed a workout, though sometimes my schedule did vary. I used the Team Beachbody message boards to find others just like me who were new to the program and were going through the same struggles that I went through. I also had great support at home, my wife and kids were always joking with me about the things that I would eat, but they also learned to eat a bit healthier at the same time, which was an added bonus.
Since then I have completed several additional rounds of P90X, P90X+ and a few of the One-on-One series sessions.
Just recently, December 2011, I became a Beachbody Coach at the encouragement of my own coach. I am super excited about the opportunity to start helping others achieve their own fitness goals. I had several people support me throughout my journey, so I feel that it is now my turn to support those who are where I once had been.
