My interest in fitness began when I was in high school. I called it my therapy as I immersed myself into the gym life as a means to cope with my parents divorce. My love for working out and how it made me feel became an obsession. I taught aerobics and competed in power lifting and body-building.

After our family moved from Colorado to North Carolina, the fabric of my therapy had to change as well as it was not acceptable for me to train at the levels I did at my new schools. Needless to say, working to pay for college became more of a priority than working out.

It was in my early 20's when I was diagnosed with low thyroid and quickly learned that it was going to take incredible effort on my part to maintain a healthy body weight and physique. Time and children later, I find myself now, at 38, with over 30 pounds to lose.

I know that with hard work and determination, I will have the physique I want and deserve to have. I look forward to working with my coach, who is my boxing coach in real life as well, and finally reach those goals.
