I am a 39 year-old gay person living in California with my partner. And like one famous comedian said it once "In the gay world, being fit is THE LAW!". I have always been slim, especially during my college years. However, when you cross the 30 year-old mark, keeping your weight becomes uncontrollable. We have always tried to eat healthy or in moderation but I noticed that I was gaining weight no matter how healthy I tried to be.

Then, I remember watching, some years ago, the P90X infomercials early in the morning on the weekends and they always sparked my curiousity whether it was a good workout program or another scam. Recently, some of my friends from other places in the US have told me that they bought the program and that they had started to use it. I bit the bullet and bought my own P90X program!

I am almost finishing my 1st phase of the program and I have noticed some improvement in the musculature of my body. However, what I am failing in is in the diet. I try to eat healthy (chicken, fish, less red meat, vegetables, brown rice, etc) but I am not following the directions from the P90X nutrition plan.

I will continue with the program and see if I can see some more improvement on my body and continue trying to eat healthy. Maybe by the second round of P90X I could invest the appropriate time to cook and follow the meal plans of the book. Wish me luck!
