I am a Nurse, and have had 5 children.I moved to Southern, Indiana 12 Years ago from New York due to my husband's company closing there, and yes, you got it what a change. New York life is quite different than here, and moving from all my family and Friends was very hard. I am pretty use to the Life style here now, but will always miss home! I have always been big on exercising since I was young,I exercised vigorously after each of my Pregnancy's, and worked out to Pregnancy video's while I was Pregnant.. I also walked a lot,and use to ride my bike for miles, exercising was just a way of life for me. I stumbled across Beachbody.com through a friend, and decided from her own testimony as a Coach that I WANTED this too. I am very excited about being a Coach, and I believe this is going to be one of the best choices I have made to improve my own Health as well as helping others.
In 2006, I took Cardio Turbo kick-boxing 3x a week for 2 years, and was at the Health club as much as I could be at least 5 days a week. I took whatever group class scheduled that day that I could, and also worked out on all the exercise equipment. I ran and Power walked for approximately 12.6 miles a day 5 days a week at the time in 2 sessions a day, once in the morning, and again at night. I was in the best shape I could be in, and I had felt the best I ever felt.
Over this last year 1/2, I slowed way down on my working out, I was working a lot of hours as a Nurse, and became somewhat depressed over the sudden loss of my Mom, and my brother in the same year. I knew working out was the last thing I should have stopped because when I worked out, I always felt so much better about myself, felt upbeat, and not depressed.. but I slumped into the depression anyway, and stopped all together, and buried myself in my Nursing.
After a year of this, I finally realized I was not feeling as well as I should, and the depression was actually not going away. I also had gained a few extra pounds that I did not need, which even made me feel worse. I knew I HAD to do something, and I knew it was getting back into shape, and taking better care of myself. My lifestyle was not good, and I had to plan cutting down my hours at work,[60-65 hours a week] and getting back on a regular exercise routine, as well as eating healthy again. This is when I discovered Beachbody.
Please remember by planning a regular exercise program, and staying fit.. you don't have to go run 12 miles a day, take time away from work or family, just make a plan that fits into "YOUR" Life, and what works for you. I can not see anyone, or expect anyone to do all I was doing, I firmly believe we ALL need that Happy medium, and this time, as a Coach myself, I will find that. Too much of a good thing can burn you out, as well as NOT doing anything. So, come on, and get Healthy with me. Lets find that Happy medium together, and join the rest of America on staying fit!
My goal as a coach, is to help others achieve what they want in their lives, which I firmly believe that taking good care of "YOU" by staying fit, and healthy, is the answer to being the person we all want to be. So, I am so very grateful, and excited to have had this program and the offer of being a Coach be presented to me!
Being accountable for me,and my own progress, as well as others is a Big plus for me.
Through my testimony I feel there is a purpose for everything, and I feel this opportunity did not come into my life by mistake.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and contact me with any questions you have to better "YOUR" Life as well.
