Pittsburgh, PA My whole life I've been a successful athlete. Throughout high school I was the captain of the soccer team, wrestling team, and the tennis team.
When in college, I hurt my back (rupturing and herniating 2 discs) and then with a partially torn labrum, I was forced to leave the tennis team. When in college, I hurt my back (rupturing and herniating 2 discs) and then with a partially torn labrum, I was forced to leave the tennis team. I stayed active and in some sort of good shape but was often injured. When i finally became healthy, my sister passed away unexpectedly and ended up going into a bad place, which then caused to take time off from school. Once in that depression and out of any social interaction, I gained weight, started eating all comfort foods, and didnt care about my general health. Life seemed to be spiraling out of control, and as many people in that spiral, I often allowed to get out of hand. I was in a relationship and ended up sabotaging it causing her to leave in September. Its been a pretty rough time for me. With my sister's passing two years behind me and allowing myself to heal, I finally think I'm in a place emotionally and mentally to start a change in my life and i feel that P90X is the first start. Having some confidence and a healthy lifestyle is something we all need and I definitely need a change in habits, thought process, and basically everything. This will push me to a place i haven't been in a long time, and i know i need to stick with it.

Phase 1 I started over! i got sick and hurt for two weeks and decided that i need to do it all over again. I'm About to finish Phase 1, and I'm really excited to see if what phase 2 brings my way. Definitely getting stronger and I feel healthier physically and mentally. Bring it on. I'm ready for more.
Phase 2 Complete. I'm definitely stronger, healthier, and happier. The hardest thing about this one was trying to progress in the chest exercises due to their difficulty but I've noticed a lot of changes in my body and so have other people, so the success is already on its way. Gotta get take it to phase 3 where i plan to throw some cardio in there.
Phase 3 Done! Insane. Absolutely insane. Really hard work out, but I was never so strong, fit, and happy. I did more running and eating healthy so it was a serious transformation. Unbelievable results. unfortunately I dont have any pictures! All that means i have to do it again... and then p90x 2.
no excuses. do it.
