My story starts like so many other women who have given birth.
My name is Rosa, I'm 5'4 and after having my daughter in July, 2006 I weighed 184lbs. I was born and raised in Portugal until the age of 16 and weight was never a problem but my mom's side of the family has a history of obesity. All women would gain a lot of weight during and after pregnancy. I tought the same would happen to me. After a "go ahead" from the doctor I started working workout and by the time my daughter was baptized in December, 2006 I was at my pre pregnancy weight of 153lbs thanks to programs such as Turbo Jam and Slim in 6 but I still felt I wasn't done.

In April, 2007 I ordered Hip Hop Abs and this was a gift. Shawn T and HHA's completely transformed my body from head to toe. I went down to 143lbs by the time I went back to work in July, 2007. I stopped being consistent with my workouts after going back to work as I got overwhelmed with the responsibilities of being a full time career woman, a mother and a wife but my weight kept going down to 136lbs and then it stopped. I was somewhat comfortable with it but in April, 2010 I had decided I was going to do a complete round of Insanity when I get hit with Vertigo- a rare form of vertigo to the point my doctor sent me to have an MRI done that took a year to get in to do.

Results come back and the news aren't good....I have several lesions in the brain consistent with either a head injury or MS. I'm 35 years old how could this happen? I felt like the world had been ripped from under my feet. Going back a few months I suffered a massiva panic attack in December, 2010 that left me with a phobia of being home alone with my daughter...Me, afraid to be home alone....I was getting panic attacks almost daily.

Fast forward to a week ago I get told I have to redo my MRI in order to exclude MS...results come back same news as the first one. As I write this, I cannot tell you if I do have MS or not.
Update- I have been cleared of MS on Monday of this week. What a relief!!!!

For the past 2 weeks I have been doing Insanity and I have lost six inches overall.
Life sometimes throws curves at you...it's our choice to decide if we are going to rise above the ashes or simply colapse and live in regret.
