Dave here, I started my P90X pilgrimage in March of 2011. After my wife & I had our second son, I saw many pictures of myself with the boys & I was not physically the Dad I should have been anymore. Moving from a small town in central Alaska to a big city like Austin Texas I found myself making bad choices: eating fast food, eating out far to often, & a sedentary job. A friend had been telling me about P90X for a while, I had seen the infomercial, but was still unsure if I could hang. But I found myself entering "P90X" into GOOGLE so often that even with my doubts, their was a part of me that wanted to try: finally a piece of advice i herd made up my mind: a wise man said:
"True change can only be achieved when the pain of staying the same is worse than the pain of change"
My first day I was ashamed I could not keep up with the "kids" on the workout, but just when I ready to give up and talk myself out of pushing play again Tony Horton says: "Rome was not built in a day, & neither was your body" at that moment I made a commitment to myself that I could make it to my workout everyday for 90 days. I told myself that for 90 days if I just do everything Horton says to do in the workouts I can't help but loose weight and get in shape. I showed up, pushed play, watched others 90 days videos on the web for inspiration on days when I felt like taking it easy. About 45 days in I looked around realized things were changing my clothes did not fit anymore, my wife was inspired to use Power 90, family & friends were curious to try P90X themselves. I knew at that moment that this works, works for me & can work for others.
After two rounds of P90X + a little P90X+ and starting the first round of P90X 2 plus many hours of help and research on Beachbodys site I signed on to be Beachbody Coach. I'd like to help anyone find what its like to get the most out of Beachbodys workouts. All I've learned I learned by doing the programs, researching, & asking the stupid questions.
