I am a nurse and have worked long hours for many years. I weighed 315 pounds on my 44th birthday that was when I had my wake up call. I was able to lose 170 pounds (over two years). I was in great shape a few years ago when the stress of life took over. First I turned 50 then my Mother passed away 10 days after my birthday. I stopped following my fitness plan. As a nurse and a mother of 4 I have a very busy schedule. I worked long hours and did not take time to take care of myself. On my 44th birthday when I weighed 315 pounds I knew I had to make changes. I started with simple changes, like not snacking on the stuff at the nurses’ station. I started eating three meals a day. I never had time for breakfast, so I made a protein shake. After a few months I was losing weight. I bought turbo jam and worked out with a friend at the gym. I make working out a goal. I got up at 4am to work out before the kids had to get up for school. I turned fifty and was in great shape. I have slipped a little in my fitness goals; it is hard for me to get to the gym. I have become a team body coach to encourage others and to keep myself at my best fitness. I have started shakeology in the mornings and already notice that I have more energy.
