I love Health and Fitness! I Made a commitment in my early twenties to stay fit and in shape.

The US AIR FORCE helped with that.LOL.. I became the Physical Conditioning Seargent for our Squad while I was active duty. I joined Karate classes, Aerobic classes Played Raquet Ball, Ran, did weight training, played volleyball.... It was a blast. Especially the things I could do with other people, .

When I started I thought I was pretty fit. I was carrying some extra fat that I needed to get rid of and I was starting to have lower back aches and pains.

I knew all along I needed to strengthen my core and build more muscle because I was past 45 and headed for the big 50!

My fitness training had taught me that Muscle mass is harder to build and maintain as you get older.

Well I had to face the facts ..I'M GETTING OLDER!

NEW DAY NEW CHALLENGE!!

LET'S GOOOO!!

I started P90X in January of 2009 and by the end of April I was much more fit than I had been in 20 years!
I mean Really Fit All OVER!
I am happy with the results!
My body fat dropped 5.5%
Weight dropped 13lbs
Verticle leap increased 6"
Max Heart Rate increased 8bpm (beats per minute)
Gained size in my chest, arms, lats, and legs!
Increased number of push ups AND pull ups by 10!
My core strength was a big increase. I went from 30 in&outs to 70! That's a +40!
Needless to say my Lower Back "Issues" are pretty much GONE!

Probably the greatest change I've seen is in my Heart Rate Recovery.
A big measure of fitness is the bodies ability to recover quickly from extreme exertion.
My one minute Recovery was up 18bpm faster/better than at the beginning!
THAT IS AMAZING!
Overall my 4 minute recovery was 13 beats better than before P90X...

In the real world that means I Can run on the tennis court all day long and when the other guys half my age are grabbing their Knees, I'm Ready to Roll!
Not bad for 45...

That makes me happy!
