Woodbridge, VA Hi, my name is John. I'm 46 years old and in OK shape but in no way where I want to be. I truly want to get in the best shape of my life, not only for my overall health and well-being but to hopefully ward off the health problems that have plagued my family, i.e. high blood pressure, joint problems. I truly want to get in the best shape of my life, not only for my overall health and well-being but to hopefully ward off the health problems that have plagued my family, i.e. high blood pressure, joint problems. I'm originally from Washington, D.C. but have lived in Northern Virginia on and off since my teen years. I'm a father of an active 11 year old boy who is much like I was at his age. I am pretty active myself. I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling to new places, music, movies, sports. This is my first time joining Team Beachbody. A few years ago I purchased Power 90 and got through about 45 days of the program and saw results but for whatever reason, I fell back into some bad habits and didn't exercise consistently or maintain as healthy of a diet as I should. My goal is to lose about 25 lbs. and significantly reduce my body fat percentage, while adding lean muscle mass. I purchased P90X but have to decided to go through the whole Power 90 program again before I tackle P90X. I don't think my body is ready for it and I don't want to risk injury with a program as intense as P90X. My start date is March 2nd, 2009. Can't wait to get started!

My personal journey to ultimate fitness began on Monday, March 2nd, 2009 with Power 90. I had bought the program about 4 years ago, used it for about 30 days and then for some reason I stopped working the program. Like many of us, I let my daily grind get in the way. I then went through a separation and divorce and found myself back on the single scene, living alone, and falling back into bad eating habits. I started working the Power 90 program in 2006, once again not sticking with a scheduled routine and not completing the program. I finally came to a decision this year that now is the time to finally achieve the body I want. I came to the conclusion that I would have to do my workouts in the morning before work. This was the only way I knew I could stick to the program. My boss allowed my to adjust my work hours so that I could come in later to give myself time to complete Power 90. Although there were mornings, especially in the first 30 days, when I did not want to work out, but I just kept thinking of the motto, "Keep Pushing Play". I discovered that once I got going, the rest was easy and I felt great after my workout. I started with Phase 1-2 for the first 2 weeks, then progressed to Phase 3-4 for 30 days. At that point I didn't feel challenged enough and purchased 2 dvd's from the Power 90 Master Series. Sculpt 5-6 and Sweat 5-6. I continued the remainder of the program with these workouts. I would also log into WOWY every morning before my workout and used all the tools available. It's a great motivator. I've also used all of the recommended supplements, which has made a tremendous difference in my daily recovery. I have not had the muscle soreness I would have had if I didn't take these great supplements. I am now proud to report that I DID IT!! I completed Power 90 on May 30. I am also proud to report that I only missed 2 workouts during the entire program. I've lost a total of 19 lbs., just 6 lbs. short of my goal for Power 90. My waistline has gone from 36in. to 33in., my body far percentage went from 30% down to 23%. However, with all that I have accomplished so far, my next challenge is right around the corner. I will start P90X on Monday, June 1st. Can't wait to continue this journey! And what a ride it's been so far!
