I have never been happy with my body! In my teen years, I looked at myself as being fat, when I realize now I just needed to tone a little. I didn't care too much for exercising, but I always tried to do something to maintain my weight. As I got older the weight slowly crept up on me and I didn't realize how heavy I had become!! Then I got pregnant and gained more weight. After having my daughter, I began to get serious about losing the weight. I joined a gym, lost some weight, but couldn't get past 140 lbs. Even though others told me how good I looked, I still wasn't happy. I then took things further and made a commitment to myself. I set a goal to do the body for life program unofficially. I took my own pictures and "X"ed each day completed. This is the first time in my life that I said "I am going to do this" and actually did it!!! I was determined to see a transformation. Sure enough, 90 days later, I feel and look better than I ever have!! It is still hard for me to believe and I still see the same body figure as I always have. Most people would say I looked fine before, but there is always something about our bodies that makes us unhappy. of course, there are still some improvements I want to make, but WOW!!!!! I can seriously say- I'm pretty happy!!! My new goal is - P90X. I'm determined to get ripped!!!!!
UPDATE Ok, so I am a few weeks away from completed P90X. I slacked on doing some of the workouts so I have set a goal to start over and finish it completely!! I have a few others joining me, so we are going to do this together. In the 50 or more days that I did P90X- I have seen amazing results. My weight has pretty much stayed the same, fluctuating a pound or two, but I have lost more inches all over. Although I slacked on the P90X workouts, I did other exercise. I enjoyed Hip Hop Abs, Turbo Jam, Slim in 6 and looooved Yoga Booty Ballet. Exercise can truly be fun with these programs! I love that I can just pop in a workout video and be told what to do. It's like you have a personal trainer right in your home! I'm due for an updated picture, so keep checking in!
