North English, IA I am 52 yrs. old (2012) and am still struggling with my weight. I don't know how I let myself get this bad, but enough is enough! I am sick and tired of being sick and tired! And I know it has everything to do with being overweight! Recently, I went to Galena, IL and met a BB friend that I had known online but never seen. We had a great time, and both agreed to meet at the same place and the I am 52 yrs. old (2012) and am still struggling with my weight. I don't know how I let myself get this bad, but enough is enough! I am sick and tired of being sick and tired! And I know it has everything to do with being overweight! Recently, I went to Galena, IL and met a BB friend that I had known online but never seen. We had a great time, and both agreed to meet at the same place and the same time next year. I told her that I was going to lose 40 lbs and when she saw me next year, she would not recognize me. I need that kind of motivation, so that I will stick with something. Now I have to do what I said. This gives me a goal to work toward, so I am now presently doing just that. My youngest had a baby in October, and it was a girl, so I'm obviously very excited! It's my second grandchild, but I've never seen my first one, so Kendra is like my first! I am going to enjoy every moment of being a grandma, and if I have anything to say about it, I'm going to be one very sexy grandma! I have Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). I was diagnosed on January 28th of 2008. When you find out you have cancer, that's a date you never forget. I went home, got on the computer, and researched my disease. I then called the American Cancer Society and asked about support groups. There was one that was meeting the next evening, so I called the number they gave me, got directions, and they became my family. My doctors, as of right now, are not letting me do anything but walk. I'm doing alot of that, but I'm getting impatient to do something else! I have an appointment today (5/21/12) to see my oncologist, so I'm going to take my TJ program and ask her if I can at least start that one! I have the deluxe version, so there are more than just the 5 workouts, plus I ordered some of the ones that didn't come with the deluxe version. So I'm taking them all with me so she can look them over. I'm hoping she'll say yes to all of them, because she said a very strong "NO" when I asked her about my P90X:( I'm also taking Power Half Hour, which is the first BB program I ever got, and Great Body Guaranteed. I'm pretty sure there won't be any problem with GBG, as it's only 9-10 minutes in length for each of the 5 routines, and I hope she'll let me do PHH also. I lost my first 50 lbs with that program, so I think it's a pretty great one! I know this is a lifelong journey,and I didn't get here overnight. But as long as I never give up, no matter what, I'll always be a winner!

I was channel surfing at about 3AM one morning, and saw an infomercial for Tony's Power Half Hour program. I was tired of being so heavy and decided to do something about it. I ordered PHH, but didn't start until 2-2-05. In 6 months I had gone from a size 20W to a 16. I lost 50 lbs, from 230 to 180. I tried some of BB's other programs, but just couldn't find the motivation that I found with Tony, so I bought Power 90. I also bought the P90 Master Series, as I had the extra money. I started P90 on 2-6-06, but due to an accident and extenuating injuries, I wasn't able to work out for quite a while. Depression set in, and I didn't do much of anything for a long time. I finally managed to pull myself out of that slump, but let the stress of my job and the holidays keep me from pushing play. One of the ladies on the message boards woke me up one day by saying that instead of making resolutions for the new year, we need to make S.M.A.R.T. goals. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely goals. So I did. I found out on 1/28/08 that I have leukemia, so I went on a mission to see what would slow the progression of my disease. I found that exercise and healthy eating were key to slowing down my white cell count. Thanks to exercising and eating healthier(mostly),and getting a divorce, my white cell count has gone down to 13,900! That's where it was when I was originally diagnosed. I have been lackadaisical in my exercising this past year, and because of that, I have not lost any weight. In fact, I've gained about 5 lbs, and my BMI has gone up quite a bit. I finally got my head back on straight, and am starting to exercise and eat healthier once again. For me this is a lifelong journey, so I decided to become a coach and see if I could help anyone the way that I have been helped through BB and my coach. I got great news yesterday at my oncologist appointment. My white cell count is now lower than it was when I was originally diagnosed! How cool More ... 05/21/12 I miscalculated again!
