Hi! I am Coach Randall, I'm excited to be your personal Team beachbody Coach!

I am currently working as a Business Development Manager for a Technology company and find myself travelling a great deal. This along with an active family life including 7 and 9 year old boys has put me in the worse shape of my life. The scariest part is I actually hit the 250lb mark for the first time. Great

August 2009 Just wrapped up my last day of my first round of P90X and if i may say so myself...it was extremely hard but I killed it. I work in technology sales and business development that keeps me traveling quite a bit so staying on track was a challenge. Even with those challenges I managed to have some fantastic results. I am now 44 years old...45 on August 19th. Here are my results:
245 lbs to 217 lbs (now holding at 205lbs but trying to gain)
Chest 48" to 48" (I did not want to lose chest size)
Waste 41" to 37" (now at 35")
Arms 16 3/4" to 17 1/7" (now 17.5")
Hips 43" to 42"
Thighs 26" to 25".
The fitness test tells the story as well: (I will update this at the end of my next round of P90X)
Heart rate at rest Day 1 64 Day 90 51
Pull Ups Day 1-4 Day 90-12
Push-Ups Day 1-50 Day 90-65
Toe Touch Day 1-2" past Day 90-8" past
Wall squats Day 1-2 Min 30 Sec Day 90 4 Min
Bicep curls Day 1 45lbs 18 day 90 45lbs 22
In & Outs Day 1-60 Day 90-110
Heart Rate Max Day 1-161/112 Day 90-156/84
You should see my tracking sheets...they really tell the story. Round II Phase one begins Tuesday. I can't remember the last time I was so psyched about a work out program. I have helped at least 12 people (that number is way higher now) start the P90X program just from casual conversation about what i am doing. Oh, and did I mentioned i worked through a shoulder injury and back issue during the first 90 day program. Just after college I had a double micro-discectomy L4/l5 and at least once or twice a year my back goes out big time. About 3 or 4 weeks in to my program my back gave out so bad i had to use a cane to walk around for three days. I used the work out and Yoga to push through it. So many times I hear from others and have said myself...I just don't have time to make it to the Gym or I don't have any equipment at home to work out on my schedule. With P90X you don't have that excuse. I work out in a little space I cleared out in my home office and use weights I borrowed from a friend. When I travel, I make due with what I can...sometimes working out in the hotel Gym or borrowing the weights from the Gym (Dumbbells) and working out in my room. When there's a will there is always a way. This is just the starting point of my transition story and I will continue to update and refine the story as I continue to move ahead.
Be good to yourself.

I am beginning week 13 of my second round of P90X. I still find it very challenging and find myself frustrated if for some reason I miss a workout. Two weeks left and I have stabilized my weight loss at about 205lbs. I really do not want to go much less than this. My waist is at 35" and I wouldn't mind getting to around 33". I plan on starting the insanity workout after I wrap up my second round of P90X.
Keep pushing play.

It's now March of 2010 and I'm still going strong with P90X. Hanging right around 205lbs and working on adding muscle weight while still trying to lean out. I took two week off from PO90X for a trip to Hawaii in Dec but stilled was able to get a run in every morning while on vacation. After returning from my trip I hit P90X again and am doing great. I decided to push my start on Insanity off for a bit because i felt I was losing too much weight even though my calorie count was 3K-4K/day. I have two more weeks to go and will begin Insanity in April. I will update my progress as I push through insanity.

Insanity update: I know this seems like more of a blog on my workout but it's part of my transformation. I wrapped up P90X over two weeks ago and started Insanity April 5th. The first week was brutal but I made it though and did even better my second week. Here are the numbers from my first fit test to the two week fit test...
Switch Kicks 116-126
Power Jacks 54-63
Power Knees 101-115
Power Jumps 35-44
Globe Jumps 11-12 (need to work on these)
Suicide Jumps 15-20
Push-Up Jacks 37-41 (I want to get to 50)
Low Plank Oblique 60-65 (Goal is 80)

I will start P90X after Insanity and will post my fit test start and finish on that as well.

Keep pushing play.
