Ooltewah, TN My name is Cheri, I am 39 years old, married and mother of 3 beautiful children ages 17, 9 and 14 months. I am currently a stay at home mom, by trade I have been a designer for the new home industry for the past 12 years. Growing up I was a little overweight, but I slimmed down after high school. I worked a lot and did not eat right so I didn’t worry about gaining weight. After my son was born My name is Cheri, I am 39 years old, married and mother of 3 beautiful children ages 17, 9 and 14 months. I am currently a stay at home mom, by trade I have been a designer for the new home industry for the past 12 years. Growing up I was a little overweight, but I slimmed down after high school. I worked a lot and did not eat right so I didn’t worry about gaining weight. After my son was born in 1993 I had gone from 135 to 185, but resorted back to not eating right to lose the weight. Over the next years, I went thru a divorce, remarried and have had 2 more children. I was also a yo-yo between 137 and 180 and developed self confidence issues. One excuse after another I couldn’t seem to stick to any one diet, and I have tried them all...very low calorie, low carb, just about any fad diet out there. Then there is exercise …that was for people who were in shape and enjoyed it. During the last few years, I realized that the older I get, the harder it is to stay healthy, especially with eating habits like mine. I also realized that my kids were going to end up like me if I didn’t make a change. My sister in law introduced me to Beachbody and I couldn’t believe how much fun the workouts were. I really enjoyed turbo jam and hip hop abs since I love to dance! I joined her “Team” in the Beachbody community and I am so grateful I did. I feel better about myself and I am confident my kids will now know the difference of healthy living and just living! I am also excited to start new programs to reach my goal of pre-pregnancy weight of 135! I am 39 years old, 5'9" and a mother of 3. In my twenties, I weighed 130 pounds, then when I delivered my son I was a whopping 180 pounds. I lost the weight very quickly thru the following year, which was easy with the stress of divorce and being a single mother at such a young age. I had never "worked out" but thru the years my son and I would take walks, swim and roller blade for fun and always were outside. Seven years later I still weighed in at 135 pounds when I met my husband. We married and had a beautiful baby girl. I weighed 175 pounds when my daughter was born. By the time she was 2 years old I was back to 137 pounds, but by not eating properly. When she was 3 years old we relocated to another state; there I was able to work out of our home and keep my daughter home with me full time while being available for my son's after school activities. I loved this except for the fact that I packed on about 35 pounds in ONE year!!! I weighed in at 175 pounds and not having a pregnancy to blame was horrifying for me. Both of my parents and several family members struggle with weight issues and weight related medical problems, including diabetes, so I knew I had to do something about it when my doctor told me to I had better cut out the sugar and start "walking or something" because my sugar was high and I heading for diabetes too. I already suffer from multiple migraine headaches every month that literally take days out of my life at a time. After hearing this I tried several diets and I managed to lose about 20 pounds, but within 2 1/2 years I had yo-yoed most of that and had only managed to keep a few of that off. I finally realized there is only one answer, and that is a lifestyle change to eat healthy and exercise every day. With this new attitude, which came from being introduced to Beachbody by my awesome coach, I discovered several new programs that I actually loved…they were fun! I had lost 20 pounds and felt great including my migraines are down to about one a month, lasting maybe a day! (this is a miracle in itself!) I was 12 pounds from reaching my goal when I found out we had a little blessing on the way!! He has arrived and truly is a blessing. I am very excited and dedicated to becoming the thin, toned, healthy woman I know I can be.
