I am now 31 years old, and am now on a CPAP machine so I can breathe while I sleep, and weigh 348 lbs. It truly scares me that I need a machine to sleep, and keep me breathing, and never thought things would be like this. There is also no reason that this can't be changed!!
I want to enjoy everything life has to offer, and being as over weight as I am, I am limited to things I can do. Seeing that I travel alot, and having to ask for a seat belt extension on the plane is soooo embarassing, and want to get back to a normal weight where I don't have to do that anymore.
I am looking forward to fitting into normal size clothes, and not having to shop at the big and tall stores. All of which do not have the most stylish clothes! I am also looking forward to asking my girlfriend to marry me, and don't want to be quite rotund when that happens!
I think the hardest thing to do when losing the weight is eating as well as I can when on the road. I have to eat at restaurants / fast food up to 5 days a week (3 meals a day), and making good choices is hard sometimes.
I have made the good move to drinking at least a gallon of water a day, and that is one small step that is helping me feel a little better.
So tomorrow is the day, 10/19/2009!! Day one of being back on the wagon to weight loss. This will be a long journey and I can't wait to make it to my initial weight loss goal of 100 pounds.
I look forward to getting off the CPAP machine, and being truly happy with my body for the rest of my life!!!
