I'm a recently retired long-distance cyclist. Shattered my left femur in March '09 in a cycling accident, requiring a repaired leg and second full left hip replacement, the first having occurred in July '04 for unrelated reasons. Surgeons told me to quit cycling or risk falling and further ruining my femur, forcing me into a wheel chair. I picked up P90X in an attempt to fill the physical activity

I started body building in 1979. After packing on lots of muscle in my 20's and 30's I've discovered in my 40's and 50's that it's difficult for me to slim down to a weight and pants size that is healthy for a 6'1" guy. I'm currently something near 230 pounds and wearing a 38 waist jeans. I want to wear a 34 waist pants again. The weight will probably come off as a result of my P90X training, but I have no weight goal in mind. A 34 waist jeans is my goal.
