Sherman, IL I've always had reasonably good health. I'm a computer consultant, and over the years I've become too sedentary. Even though I was never really overweight, don't smoke or drink, have a happy home life and a good job, my blood pressure was always high. I was on steadily but slowly increasing hypertension medication for over twenty years. For well over a decade now, I've I've always had reasonably good health. Even though I was never really overweight, don't smoke or drink, have a happy home life and a good job, my blood pressure was always high. I was on steadily but slowly increasing hypertension medication for over twenty years. For well over a decade now, I've had to spend an hour in the car each way to work. By the time I get home in the evenings, I never really felt like working out.
At the end of September, 2010, I went to see the doctor for a sinus infection. First thing they do when you check in is to weigh you... 192 lbs! That might not sound like a lot, but it was more than I had ever weighed. I was at 165 for a long time, then finally updated my drivers license to say 175, which was accurate until a couple of years ago. I finally decided that I had to do something to stop the trend. Only problem was, I still didn't have much time or energy for working out.
That's when my buddy Todd's incredible transformation intrigued me. He recommended Shakeology. I took the plunge and bought a bag based on the money-back guarantee. After only two weeks, I decided to sign up to be a coach so that I could take advantage of the discount--I had no intention of selling, just wanted to save money.
Within a month, I had lost 20 lbs and since I had more energy, I started working out with the Power90 program. In two more months, my doctor had completely eliminated all of my medication. What a feeling of freedom!
Update 2012: It's now spring of 2012, and I am feeling better than ever. So far I have completed Power90, Insanity, P90X, and am now working on P90X2. I still drink Shakeology daily, and I really enjoy both the chocolate and the tropical flavors.

At the end of September, 2010, I found myself on two types of hypertension medication and weighed in at 192 lbs. I decided that had to change. By the end of October, I had lost 20 lbs thanks to Shakeology and some treadmill work. That gave me enough incentive to get started with Power90 on November 9th. By the first week of December, I had eliminated one of my meds, and my doctor says I should be able to eliminate the other one very soon!
Update: On December 19th, my doctor agreed that I could go without any medication. As of January 7th, I'm still free of all prescription medications!

03/26/12 Tony cracks me up with his jokes. I always liked the "Tip of the day...don't smash your face" from P90X. Today was my first day of P90X2 Phase 2, which had the plyo med-ball pushup. More ... 02/29/12 I highly recommend getting the longer version of the foam roller. I was in a hurry to get started so just went to my local sporting goods store to pick up a foam roller. There were More ... 01/30/12 Well, it wasn't the prettiest form, but i made it through day 1 (X2 Core) of P90X2! Med-ball burpees kicked my but, but otherwise I did OK for a newbie.
