Well, I've been overweight since I was a little kid. It seemed like I could never fit in and was always the odd ball because I was, well, fat. Well, I've been overweight since I was a little kid. It seemed like I could never fit in and was always the odd ball because I was, well, fat. People said I carried the weight well because I was tall, but I couldn't tell by the way people reacted...girls would make silly jokes toward me. I got teased by the guys too. The one thing I hated to be called was "big man"(even thought it wasn't meant in a bad way). I was just never really satisfied with my looks.

Through high school I played sports and lost some weight (245 was the lightest I have been) Then in college I picked it right back up. I've always wanted to be ripped so I used that hopefull image of myself in shape in my head as fuel, doing various workout routines that never really took me anywhere (my diet didn't help either). This went on through college.

The year after graduation (2005), laziness and the stress of life caused me to shoot up to 308lbs! Absolutely shocked, I had to do something. So I changed my eating habits and tried to stick to my workouts and I reached a plateau at 273lbs. Then I found beachbody!

I saw an infomercial on TV. It was actually for Slim in 6, but I decided after touring the website that P90 was what I wanted. Man! the first day I did the sweat routine, I thought Power Yoga was going-to-KILL me! Then Tony had to add the kicks and arm raising stuff...it was bad, but it was good. I mustered throught the routines, trying to stick to Michi's Ladder top 3 tiers (with rewards on the weekends at first) After about a month I noticed that my stomach area was starting to flatten a little and my arms and shoulders (most noteably) were showing some definition (I would pose like I was that guy on the beach after the 3-4 sweat! Don't tell anybody!) and my face was slimming down.

After a month, it was 3-4. That was intense! I started out strong, but I noticed it was becoming hard to stay consistent with the workouts so I would fluctuate between 3-4 and 1-2 depending on how I felt.

After round 1, I weighed in at 252lbs. A weight loss of 21lbs and I felt great! None of my clothes fit anymore (thank God it was almost Christmas) and everyone was noticing how I've lost weight! Now I'm not one for too much lime light, but that was awesome!

Losing 21lbs was impressive, but 252lbs was not my best. I still had some body fat left to kill, so I started fresh with another round of P90 on New Years Day. This one didn't go that well as I got sick a little into February and I took about 2 weeks off. But I came back to it with a renewed commitment and determination. I didn't miss one day after starting round 2!

Now Im on about day 49 of Round 3 (day 301 overall). To date I weigh about 235lbs, with approx 20% body fat and I've lost 11 inches off of my body! It has been an amazing ride. Seeing myself make these changes is awesome and it has great benefits. My waiste size is about 38-40 in (I haven't seen that since 12!), my chest, shoulders and back look awesome, I'm lighter than I was playing football in high school, and I feel great! Though I still have a ways to go, I am so glad that I have made the progress I'm making, and I can't wait to see what I look like at 220lbs and 200lbs (What?!)

I have to give a big thank you to Beachbody and Tony Horton. Until now, I'd always dreamed of being in the best shape of my life, watching people on TV do it while I try and fail. The results just always seemed unattainable. But with P90, I've really been able to go for it and stick with it.... and actually make progress (I sound like an infomercial)! Thank You so much for the great work that you've done!! Now I'm off to reach a goal!
