I have always been active and athletic as a youngster and in high school started running track. I trained/competed in track for all 4 years, but a buddy of mine and I stumbled upon weight lifting and started to like it just as much as running, so we did both. I enjoyed exercising before most of my friends thought it was cool to do, but kept lifting on and off thru college. It just seemed like something would always come up that would get in the way of getting my workout done. I would watch days turn into weeks, then weeks into months of not exercising. Then before I knew it I would be out of the gym for an entire month and would have to start all over again. It just seemed like I had more time to exercise back in high school, and I regretted not staying consistent over the years. Over the last several years my wife and I began to workout at the gym, but would not be able to stick to the routine due to changes in work schedules, child care arrangements, and other things.
Until we found the Beachbody community!!!!

About 6 months ago (at age 38) I ordered the P90x program after watching the infomercial and researching it on-line.
After about 3-4 weeks into the program, some friends I hadn't seen in a while were amazed at my muscle gains and asked what exercises I was doing. They had all heard of P90x but hadn't seen results in anyone besides people in the informercial. After talking it over, they were all convinced they would definitely look into it. One of them actually started the program just recently.
However, in the 5th week I was forced to stop due to a recurring shoulder injury. I got so frustrated that I stopped working out all together when pain kept me from keeping up with the P90x workouts that I grew to love. I figured that if I couldn't do the p90x workout that I wanted to do, I wouldn't do any workouts at all.
Soon my wife began to notice the change in my body from not working out and "suggested" that I start back up.
My wife began the P90 program and suggested I join her for 90 days before starting back into P90x. To my amazement, doing the program together and being aware of the nutritional changes, we are both experiencing body changes that others are noticing. When my wife started she could barely do a single push up, but now she gets down there with me. We pushed play for 6 days a week at 6:30 am (our Beach Body health hour)!
We just finished 90 days of Power 90 and are amazed at the results. We took 2 weeks off training (including a 2-day fast) and kicked it up a notch and started P90x!
