Alexandria, VA I finally have decided to take control and give myself a healthier, happier life. I have been overweight since middle school, so I have never really known what it's like to be a healthy weight. I have tried different diets and exercise programs in the past, some of which have worked for a while, but I tend to get bored or aggrevated with it and eventually give up, gaining all the weight back and I finally have decided to take control and give myself a healthier, happier life. I have been overweight since middle school, so I have never really known what it's like to be a healthy weight. I have tried different diets and exercise programs in the past, some of which have worked for a while, but I tend to get bored or aggrevated with it and eventually give up, gaining all the weight back and sometimes more. I decided that it is time to step it up. I can't expect the impossible. I can't expect to be fit after just a month of commitment. I have a goal to lose 73 pounds and tone my body. I am using P90X and sticking to a low fat diet, consisting mostly of lean cuisine type meals to control my portions, my biggest challenge. I love food and I know that the eating portion of my plan will be the most difficult, but as long as I keep my motivation and get support from others, I think I can do it.

On July 14th, I started the P90X exercise program along with a low fat diet, consisting mainly of fruit, granola bars, and lean cuisine type meals. I started at 218 pounds, close to the highest weight I've ever been. My ultimate goal is to reach 145-150 and then re-evaluate from there. As of today, August 11, and having just completed phase one of P90X. I am down 10 pounds to 208. I know it would have been much more but I cheated on the diet about once a week. My goal for phase two is to stick to the diet 100%... Here goes nothing!
