Melfa, VA Welcome to my site!! I am a 42 year old wife and mom. I have 2 children, Crystal 22, and Tanner 16! I spent a good deal of my life overweight, unhealthy and frustrated! A little over 4 years ago I made up my mind that I was going to do whatever it took to get healthy! I would just do what I was supposed to do..& the weight would HAVE to come off! It has been slow for me, but I have lost 88 Welcome to my site!! I am a 42 year old wife and mom. I have 2 children, Crystal 22, and Tanner 16! I spent a good deal of my life overweight, unhealthy and frustrated! A little over 4 years ago I made up my mind that I was going to do whatever it took to get healthy! I would just do what I was supposed to do..& the weight would HAVE to come off! It has been slow for me, but I have lost 88 pounds. Most of you will lose much faster than I have, but it's okay. I have learned to discipline my body and mind, and how to STICK WITH IT!! I have been working out for about 4 years now, and about 2 years ago discovered Turbo Jam! Chalene will work you out..you will work up a sweat...AND you will have a LOT of fun doing it! More recently I have fallen in love with Turbo Kick, which gives a bit more of a kickboxing flair - once again working up a sweat with a LOT of fun! I have also done P90X...and it is a Fantastic intense program! It will work all the muscles in your body out..but rotate it to give your body time to recover..awesome. I think that Tony Horton is a great trainer - especially for you guys who want to get in shape with a more "masculine" workout program...hee hee. I have a HUGE desire to help others who are feeling that frustration and loneliness - get out of their rut & reach their goals - so talk to me! Let's reach our goals together!! I will be your cheerleader, and provide the tools that you need to be the healthy person you were created to be!!

4 years ago I was 100 pounds overweight, feeling VERY frustrated, fat,unhealthy and lonely. I enjoyed people, but just felt that everytime people saw me, all they could see was how fat I was. I was 38 More ...
4 years ago I was 100 pounds overweight, feeling VERY frustrated, fat,unhealthy and lonely. I enjoyed people, but just felt that everytime people saw me, all they could see was how fat I was. I was 38 at the time, and knew that by the time I turned 40, I wanted to be healthier than I had been in a long time. As I was on a walk one day, I decided that I would do whatever it took to get the weight off. If I worked out and did what I was supposed to do, it would HAVE to come off! That was the beginning of a long, challenging journey for me. I began working out - only 10 minutes at a time at first, until I built up to an hour. Then I was able to add bands and weights. Weight loss was slow for me - 1/2 pound a week - but it was STEADY. 1/2 pound a week is okay - it is still DOWN. Yes it is frustrating at times, but fast weight loss is not necessarily the best weight loss. After all, this is something that you want for the rest of your life, so you want changes that are permanent! If you slowly incorporate new habits..by the time the weight is off - it will be a new way of life for you! I had a surprise pregnancy the year I turned 40 and a late miscarriage, which set me back. I gained 15 pounds in two months!! And then remained on a plateau for almost 2 years!! BUT I NEVER quit!! I did NOT give up!! I have learned to stick with it! 3 months ago, due to some nutritional changes, and NEVER GIVING UP! - I moved off that plateau and have lost 28 more pounds! I am within sight of my goal! I am seeing new muscles every day! Come on this journey with me!! I have learned soo much! I feel strong and healthy - my mind is so much clearer! I have learned to discipline my body! I have learned to be in control of what I put into my body - I will NOT be controlled by my taste buds! And you don't have to be either!! I really enjoy doing the Turbo Jam and Turbo Kick workouts! They are a LOT of fun! I always work up a great sweat. I started P90X with my guys recently, and am enjoying that as well..it is a great workout that creates balance in your physique, but allows your muscles to recover fully, so that you are not burnt out. I would love to help you find a workout you that will LOVE doing- that will give you results that you love MORE! Learn to stick with your workouts and make better eating choices for you! We are all unique and have unique needs - so here...I am reaching out my hand to help you.. I will be your coach and cheerleader and guide - with the help of Beachbody - you can reach those goals that you have only dreamed about! IN the last 2 years, while I was on my plateau, I did not waste my time - I earned my Personal Training certification, My nutritional and wellness certification and a certification to work with the Special Population (post op & chronic diseases). This is something I had wanted to do for years, and have finally achieved that! What goals do you only dream about? So far I have lost 80 pounds! I have 20 pounds to go!
