I am 38 years old and a single mother of one. My daughter, is 5 years old and brings me a lot of joy and laughter. I work as an RN at a local hospital. My specialty is critical care (ICU). I've worked for the hospital for over almost 10 years and love my job.

Because of the diseases I see at work, I try to be careful about my diet. I have a lot of family who have had heart and lung diseases so I am at a high risk for developing them myself.

I had a membership to a gym for nearly two years and found that environment very motivating. Unfortunately, the cost was difficult to keep up, so I had to begin an at-home program. I've found the calorie burn is much lower which does nothing to help my motivation. However, I've made up my mind to take the Insanity challenge and push through to reach my health goal; lose the layer(s) of fat that are hiding my muscles. I want to feel better physically and emotionally and be more confident in my appearance.
