My name is David and I am a 41 year old male from Springfield Missouri. I was a karate instructor for many years, and resumed teaching in 2004 after a couple of years hiatus. I was introduced to Power 90 by one of my students who lost a butt load of weight.. I thought it was simply incredible.. I started also doing the workouts and trimmed myself quite a bit as well. While working out one day (not P90), I tore the meniscus in my right knee and was forced to quit working out and had a knee operation in June of 2004. It wasn't healing very well, and I wasn't able to work out at all without serious pain. On November 8, 04 I had a significant stroke. The cardiologist determined I had a birth defect called a pfo (patent foramen ovale) for you medical types.. and required a stent in my heart. In February of 05 I had yet another knee surgery, which took quite a while to heal.. Just recently I have started to feel like myself again, and at 41 am starting over getting into shape. I have been athletic and in excellent shape most of my life, and am having difficulty accepting the fact I am not as young an resiliant as I used to be. I will be going steady, and I know I will be pushing it like a kid.. (because that is my nature), but hope to regain my physical attributes of before.
