The first step on the road to achievement is to DECIDE...it's time to DECIDE TO BE FIT. It is a choice. Or for you, it could mean getting in better shape and helping others in this process, and maybe even becoming part of the Beachbody Team of Coaches with me. Once we make the decision, the next step is to COMMIT. We take the necessary daily actions that move us towards our goals and equip us with everything needed for the journey. If we have taken the first two steps, we SUCCEED!

I'll back up and tell you who I am & why I'm a coach. From a young age I was tumbling, dancing, and into karate. During college and throughout my 20's, I took fitness to a new level. I became a certified fitness instructor, taught classes and developed a great interest in weight training. After much encouragement, I competed in a bodybuilding show, then went on to fitness competitions. After winning regional and national titles I became a finalist in the Ms. Fitness USA, and doors opened up for me. My "hobby" became a life changing experience.
Suddenly I had sponsors and opportunities. Power Foods (Power Bar), hired me for T.V. commercials and I promoted fitness shows on ESPN. I played powerful super-hero women in children's video games and auditioned in Hollywood for a spot on the T.V. show "American Gladiators." While I chose a different career path, the experience was a blast! I modeled for Body Master Sportswear and Icarian Fitness Equipment, and was featured in health & fitness magazines. What I learned has enabled me to help others who are interested in bettering their health, body and life. My journey has taught me the importance of staying fit and healthy. Fitness affords you the energy, endurance and mental strength to fulfill your life's purpose.
I tell you all this for two reasons . . .
First, I have probably seen it all and tried most of it, and I believe Beachbody is the real deal when it comes to getting in shape. Great work outs, nutrition plans and tools to help you reach your fitness goals and plenty of encouragement along the way! Second, to prove a point - I'm a regular gal. If I can do it. . .so can YOU!!!
Fast forward. . .today, I am blessed to be a wife and mother. My life is very different, and most of the time I work out at home. This has saved me precious time and allowed me to pursue dreams and spend more quality time with my family. One dream I fulfilled was getting my black belt in Taekwondo, and I did it with my son!
Admittedly, life is busier and comes at me FAST...and so has the plateau I reached by not switching up my workout routines like I did back in the day. Then, a couple of injuries, some surgery ...and well... chubb happens. HELP! In walks Tony Horton, the Team Beachbody Club and all the tools that have been put together for us to get in shape, or back in shape - I'm on my way again!
In closing, I want to share a saying we have around my house with regards to success. In the journey of life, losers focus on what they are going through, but WINNERS focus on what they are going to.
And just in case you are not convinced that you are a "winner" - let me share a few interesting facts about yourself ~ (I hope you will take time to read this next part and let this truth sink in) . . .
YOU WERE MARVELOUSLY & WONDERFULLY MADE! Your eyes have 100 million receptors that allow you to enjoy a beautiful sunset, you have 24 thousand fibers vibrating in your ears as you listen to the great videos on this website. Your body has 500 muscles and 200 bones, with 7 miles of nerve fibers all working and synchronizing your body to have agility and movement. This year your heart will beat 36 million times and pump 600 thousand gallons on blood through 60 thousand miles of blood vessals. You have lungs with 600 million pockets of folded flesh expunging gases of waste from your body - now tell me all that isn't cool!?!? You have 4 quarts of blood in your body and 22 trillion cells. Each cell has millions of molecules and in each molecule is an atom oscillating 10 million times per second. Every second that ticks off the clock 2 million of these cells die off and 2 million cells are reproduced. You have a brain that weights about 3 pounds, and have 4 million pain sensors, 500 thousand touch sensors and 200 thousand temperature gages to keep you at the right temperature. Let me say it again... YOU ARE MARVELOUSLY & WONDERFULLY MADE!!!

I am a work-in-process. Thank God, He won't leave me the same! Phil.1:6. I started using Beachbody products after recovering from a bad shoulder injury. I jumped in with both feet using P90X - after not being able to weight train for almost a year. This program helped me rebuild strength and made working out fun again! As a wife and a busy working mom, I like having all the tools, nutritional supplements (Shakeology - would not miss a day of this wonderful product!) and great workouts from Beachbody. P90X along with others I have added to my collection ~ Chalean Extreme, Turbo Fire and Insanity Deluxe... are some of the best workouts I have ever done and are taking me to the next level in my fitness goals. After completing a round of P90X, and Chalean Extreme, I am now doing Insanity Deluxe (had to have the Upper Body Weighted workout!). As I mentioned, I no longer have pain in my shoulder, and I'm getting my former strength back and am seeing and feeling the hardness in my muscles again! OK ladies don't get scared. . . muscle is a GOOD thing! It burns fat. And trust me you won't look like Arnold - we just we don't have the hormones for that. So don't worry, eat clean and work out with intensity and lift weights!!!
Currently, I have put together some hybrid workouts using Brazil Butt Lift, Chalean Extreme and I mix in some long runs and some Insanity - to keep it REAL - (for those who have tackled Insanity - you know exactly what I mean!). I am loving my library of great Beachbody workouts - I can mix and match - and like a sculptor - build the body I want.
