My life today does not resemble my past years of yo-yo dieting and lack of exercise. For most of my adult life, I have been fighting the battle of the bulge and wanting desperately to lose the weight and keep it off for good! In the past, I have lost between 40-70 pounds, but the lbs always found their way back! Sometimes my weigh loss was accompanied with exercise (i.e. I became a black belt in Tae Kwon Do & completed 2 inline skate marathons). However, other times, I just tried to lose weight through diet alone, not realizing that I had very muscle tone and was not "healthy". However, about 11 months ago, I started changing my eating habits and exercising at the gym and have lost 50lbs so far. While I was working out on the elliptical @ the gym I say the Chalean Extreme infomercial & that was the beginning on my strength training! I feel like I have a personal trainer in my home who can show me the right way to tone my body. And, I love the WOWY website, because I can track my workouts and "connect" with like minded people! If you hire a personal trainer at the gym, it can be quite costly and you have to work around their schedule. I love this program, because I can work out at my convenience, and can track my progress! It's an amazing system! I'm not far from my original weight loss goal, but now I want to work on my body composition. It's exciting to think my body can be at a level of fitness that it has never ever attained! I hope to help others to do the same!
