I am a 41 year old mother of 6 children. I have been an RN for over 20 years
and recently became a licensed midwife. As a swimmer I have maintained the
shell of a fit person but the padding has gotten much thicker over the years. I
have tried to maintain with a naturally healthy diet but as the years tick by I
realize I need to work harder than I used to to keep my "girlish" figure.

My "after" photo is actually a 21-day photo...I am a work in progress. I've
lost 16 lbs and several inches over my body. I may need to upgrade my

desire to lose 15 lbs to 20-25 lbs but am VERY pleased with my results so far.
I've been sticking fairly-well to the P90X diet plan and consistently giving my
all one hour a day to the P90X regime. I am very pleased to see a diet that
asks folks to avoid chemicals and "diet" products to cut calories...they are so
much worse for us than anyone knows yet. Instead, this can be a lifestyle
change that people can actually make and stick with. This is a lifestyle
change that entire families can adopt...even our 3 yr old likes to "Bring it!"
with the "Tony and the Kids" workout DVD. What I like most about this
program is that I don't have to shell out a lot of money to a gym that I can
only visit once or twice a week--I have 6 children for goodness sake!! And I
don't have to invest in an expensive piece of workout equipment that I can't
afford and have nowhere to store. I love it!!!

This note was added at day 45. Tonight I went for a run...haven't run in
several months due to having foot surgery and then starting P90X. It used to
be that I needed to stop every block or so and walk...run a bit more and walk,
etc. Tonight I ran over 3 miles without stopping and wasn't even breathing
hard!!! I only stopped because it was pitch black dark and our road is not
well lit. Thanks, P90X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

90 day note: I did it!! It was so great and I can see such an improvement that
I've started over for another 90 days. The pounds and inches lost can't even
compare to the overall better feeling I have about myself...Things fit great
and I feel great! I still am losing weight...just very slowly but hey, I didn't
gain all this weight overnight!
