Well let's see... As of 3/22/2011 I'm a 45 year old male and I have been very active through most of my life including a stint in the Marine Corps. I worked hard labor for many years then got advanced to the "sit behind the desk job" in my late 20's. I'm now an Industrial Safety Consultant. Along with weight lifting I decided to start cycling/mountain biking to stay in shape. I got into it so much that I started racing the Texas MTB circuit.

5 years ago I was involved in an industrial explosion. As a result I had several injuries both physiological and psychological. The stress and anxiety had caused 2 heart arrythmias that prevented me from any physical exersion without passing out. My heart rate would go to 250-300 bpm with any kind of physical exersion or when my adrenaline would kick in. Well after 2 Cardioversions (controlled electrical shock), 2 Catheter Ablasions (laser burn the bad circuit) and many other tests and procedures, the Atrial flutter is gone but I still have the Atrial tachycardia that is currently being treated with meds and no caffine! I was dealing with all that when I Joined TBB 1/1/08. I was looking for something to replace the bike riding something I could ease into and do at the house. I chose Power 90 and really enjoyed it. I had completed my 1st session of P90 4/7/09 when the flutter came back so that basically put me out of commission until March of 2009, 6 months after the second ablasion.

Good news is now I only experience the tachycardia during extreme exercise it can go to 225+ bpm but it usually subsides as soon as I slow and rest. I haven't had a serious episode in several months. Everything else physically checks out fine. My resting HR is in the High 50's and my BP is 110/60. I'm back on my bike 2-3 days a week, completed a 2nd round of Power 90, 2 rounds of P90X, 2 rounds of Insanity and 2 rounds of a P90X/Insanity Hybrid. I've lost 31 lbs 18% bf and gained 11 lbs of muscle. I'm starting a 3rd Hybrid of Insanity/One on One/P90X... So that's my story and that's why I'm here to help myself and other get in the best shape of our life.
