The journey began today with taking the fit test and measurements. I have started several programs but have never bothered to follow the plans in detail. This time I am going to log my progress and have my fat staring me in the face every time I log in. If this does not motivate me then nothing will. The first of many new days begins tomorrow.

Day 1 - First day on Core Synergistics. I have absolutely no ab or upper body strength at all but am good on the cardio. Lots of work cut out for me but I'm looking forward to it. I just posted the before pictures and was so totally disgusted. I'm shocked that Brian was able to take the pictures without losing his dinner.

The hardest thing is getting the diet portions correct. Having to reduce carbs and increase protein is taking some research to work out but I've done it before, I can do it again. This eating 5 times a day thing has always been a struggle for me. My bad eating habits have caught up to me and my usual workouts just are not cutting it anymore - not at 50 yrs old! Looking forward to CarioX tonight.

Day 3 complete. Still getting the hang of the eating. Will be doing some major health shopping this weekend. So far I have enjoyed every workout - AbRipperX is very tough but I have another goal now. To get thru AbRipperX without stopping by day 90. If I can do that then I will finally have the abs I've envied on others. It will take some practice to get used to the bands. I can tell my body is rapidly ridding itself of all the junk I have fed it, I can't wait until the cleaning process is over.

Day 4 was Yoga. It will take some time before I actually enjoy this workout - so different from anything I've done before. I do see the benefits though so I'll stick with it and someday may even look forward to it. Missed my cardio so have added 30 minutes of stairmaster in the mornings.

One week in and lots of shopping later. I've enjoyed all of the workouts. Amazing how much more I was able to accomplish in the Core Synergistics this past monday over the first day. Some progress on goals but I know that one week in is not much time. Enough to show it is working though.

Day 10 morning. I was able to put on jeans that I have not worn in at least a year - couldn't get them over my thighs. This morning I pulled them on easily and they zipped right up. Last night Brian looked at me in my workout clothes and said WOW. And only after 10 days! I'm enjoying the workouts and the food I'm eating. It just takes time to get used to the 5x a day diet routine.

Three weeks in now. Looking better, feeling better. The scale is notching up a little but the clothes are shrinking. I still don't have much strength in the abs but I do better each time. Arms are certainly getting stronger. Still a long way to go but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

56 days in and I am doing great. I only missed a few workouts when I came back from Vegas and got sick. My clothes fit great and I am looking and feeling much better. I still do not care for the Yoga routine - just not my cuppa tea. Next week I start Phase III.
