I am a lifelong exercise and fitness freak. As a child I did gymnastics, dance, skating, volleyball, bicycling and later entered the world of weight training. In 1988 I won the women's power lifting title in Israel. Well, I was the only woman competing! I gave up power lifting, but have continued to weight train. In that time period, BC - before children - I was very active and fit. I am almost 46, fairly fit 'for my age', but that's not enough for me. I found P90X too intense when I tried to do it last year, More ...
In that time period, BC - before children - I was very active and fit. I am almost 46, fairly fit 'for my age', but that's not enough for me. I found P90X too intense when I tried to do it last year, so I restarted with TurboJam. I love to bike and have started to that again. I use Holly Rigsby's workouts and some other fitness info as well. I like to mix it up. I find it hard to follow a set program. My weakness is dark chocolate, though, and I have self-diagnosed my condition as 'chocolate deficiency' - which can have serious consequences.;-)
Focusing on results and feeling comfortable with my body again keeps me motivated. My husband and I are doing the program together, and he is coping with diabetes and brain damage, so I have to be committed and disciplined enough for the both of us. I get inspiration from people who have overcome big fitness challenges.
