I made the decision to get back into shape after my 20th wedding anniversary. I was feeling fatigued, lazy and very unmotivated. I saw the P90X info-mercial one Saturday morning and it made me start thinking about how I needed to get myself back into shape. I was having a hard time at the fire station with training senerios and air consumption. My strength had decreased over the years and something needed to be done with my health. I visited doctors to see if I had anything wrong with me, all they wanted to do was prescribe medication (anti-depressants, sleeping pills, etc.). I DONT THINK SO!!!, I decided to do it on my own without medications. I started my transformation in May 2009, I weighed 270 lbs, the heaviest I had ever been in my life. My waist was 48 inches. I started the P90X routine on a Monday, and by the next Friday I was ready to quit, then I really paid attention to what Tony was saying during the workout, "Do your Best", "Dont try to keep up with us", and "You may only do 5, but in time you will be doing 20". Well I listened and pushed myself at my pace not Tony's. By the 3rd week I noticed the first big transformation, I had lost 15 lbs and 3 inches from my waist. I was very excited and was more motivated to continue. Every week I challenged myself more, always setting my goal for more reps each day. By Phase III I was completing every workout with the DVD. At the end of my first round, I lost 40 lbs and 8 inches, had been off my CPAP machine for 2 months, eating right, completing all my rigorous FF training with ease, and best of all - feeling the best I have in years. I started my second round in August 2009 doing doubles. All my friends, family and Doctors are amazed at my success. My results show, now my wife, several friends and neighbors have all started the program. I love it, Thank You So Much.
