I’m Dave Ward, a husband, father, retired attorney, triathlete and one half of a husband/wife Beachbody Coaching Team! I am currently an Independent Two Star Diamond Coach in my first business center and an Emerald Coach in my second business center. My passion is helping people achieve their goals. Most of the people I work with have fitness related goals. Whether you are looking to increase sports performance or just lose a few pounds, I can help. I also help people achieve their financial goals. I know the path to financial freedom well, because I’m walking down it. Beachbody has had a profound impact on my life, both physically and financially. On January 8, 2011 we held an event in Phoenix where I had an opportunity to tell everyone how I went from overworked lawyer to full time Beachbody Coach in a little over 2 years. You can watch the video of that and read the rest of my story on my website here: http://www.dave-ward.com
Beachbody is founded on peer support. I can’t emphasize enough how much the support of others will help you succeed. Unfortunately, a high percentage of people do not complete their program of choice. Many walk away simply because they feel alone. I want to help you beat those odds. Like most people, my life has been a rollercoaster of fitness so I can help you no matter what your level of fitness is. My wife Monica (http://www.monicalward.com) is also a great resource for women’s fitness issues. If you don’t know her, you should. She’s simply incredible.
On September 1, 2011 we moved from Scottsdale, Arizona to the shores of the Pacific Ocean in Coronado, California. San Diego is home for us and Coronado is simply amazing. In case you are wondering, we do enjoy the view. Living here affords us the incredible opportunity to be of service to our Grandparents. Mine are both 94 and they live within 300 yards of our door. Monica’s Grandmother lives in San Diego, less than 20 minutes away. This is how I want to live my life. I spent too many years sitting in an office watching time tick off a clock. Now, it’s time to live.

When I started working out with Power90 in 2003 I was about 195lbs. Since that time, I've done Power90 twice, the Power90 Masters Series, P90X three times, Insanity, 15 triathlons (including the US Navy SEAL's Superfrog Half Ironman) and numerous bike races. I'm now checking in somewhere between 160 and 165 depending on the day and the intensity of my training.
I believe that everyone should have a sport. Fitness is great, but using your fitness for fun is even better. I participate in a wide variety of sports throughout the year. Swimming, cycling and running are the mainstays of my competitive fitness, but I also play golf (currently a 6.3 handicap) and I absolutely love to surf. In 2010 I got a Stand Up Paddleboard, and I'm totally addicted to SUP. My son loves tennis, so that's the next sport I'm going to take up.
I use Beachbody's programs to make my sports more fun. The simple fact is that I'm better at each of them because of Beachbody. Frankly, I never could have even considered triathlon until P90X and P90X+ conditioned my body to be able to take the punishment involved. My training changes along with the sports I'm involved with at that time, so that I'm getting the most out of both. I've put together a lot of my own training programs using Beachbody programs and I'd be happy to help you do the same.
