How did “it” all start you ask? Well, in early July 2008 I booked a cruise to the Carribean and started thinking about bikinis. I was 223lbs. at the time and felt fat and even looked the part. I also suffered from migraines due to high blood pressure! I just wanted to lay down and die.

I decided, after talk to a good friend of mine, to start the South Beach Diet that he often raves about. So, I gave it a go on July 12, 2008 and to date, I’ve lost 37lbs - it’s only been 15 weeks. I’m currently in my 16th week. I lost 30 of those pound by doing the South Beach Diet alone. I noticed that I was stuck at 30 and anxiously wanted to get to 35lbs. lost. Well, I started working out. I started with Full Body Resistance Band training three times a week, Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred everyday (a mix of strength and cardio) and I still do Jim Horton’s Power 90 Abs workout (100 crunches in less than 5 minutes) everyday. I dropped seven pounds after three weeks of working out and then I became hooked!

In January 2009 I met my 50lb. weight loss goal and I was changed forever! By the time July 2009 rolled around I had lost another 10lbs. and I did that with the help of a few fitness gurus like Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Jillian again, Cathe again and Amy Bento. I also adapted clean eating habits from Tosa Reno (get her book!).

So, by the end of my 2nd anniversary (July 2010) of becoming a better healthier and fit me I hope to drop my body fat percentage down from 21% to 16% or better and to earn muscular definition.

I decided on August 10, 2009 to start with ChaLean Extreme to help to achieve this goal of mine and I am currently on Day 5 of her Burn Phase. I'm loving it! When I am finished with CLX then I'm moving on to P90x with Tony...I can't wait! After that it's INSANITY time with Shaun T - sweeeet! Can't you tell I'm excited?

Lastly, if my story and photos does not motivate others to put the cheeseburger down and get the heck up off the couch then I don't know what will. If I can go from fat girl to fit girl in one year then anybody can. It takes hard work and dedication. None of my success came for free. I had to put the time, effort, the physical labor, the sweat and tears in to achieve my health and fitness goals.

There is nothing it but to do it!
