Brandon, MS I'm 41, have 5 kids between 11 yrs old and 16 and a beautiful wife. I'm an architect in Jackson, MS. In late 2007, I got tired of being out of shape, out of breath, and unable to tie my shoes without breathing heavy. I hate the rat race of the gym and so I had to find something I could do at home. In late 2007, I got tired of being out of shape, out of breath, and unable to tie my shoes without breathing heavy. I hate the rat race of the gym and so I had to find something I could do at home. I began exercising routines that I downloaded from the internet. I knew I could put in the hard work if I could have someone tell me what to do. I know what it's like not to have enough time in the day. My family and life keeps me pretty busy, but there are ways to make time to keep fit. Since we're up at 5:15 to get the kids up and ready for school and I go to work right after that, my wife is gracious enough to give me an hour each day secluded in my room, away from the kids and homework and the busy after school schedule. I definitely couldn't have done this without her support and my kids support. I started my journey at 230 pounds and 29% body fat. I worked hard with an online program and a Bowflex gym and got down to 205 in about 6 months. But I needed something more. That's when I found BeachBody and P90X. Put the DVD in, and just follow along. The rest is just sweat, hard work, and history. In May of 2008, I started P90X and finished that round in early August where I got down to 185. I took a break and gained back up to 199, but starting in January 2009, I started my second round and back toward new goals. I want to get down to 175, have 10% body fat, and have a 6 pack by the time I'm 40 - May 2010. P90X has helped me get mostly there, but I had difficulty with the nutrition. Things weren't really clicking and I kept the fat around my stomach area - I didn't get the ripped results I was after. I went through P90X a second round, but also hit physical problems with a hurt foot and hurt elbow so my workouts suffered and so did my results. Once I finished my second round of P90X, I realized that my weight only changed down to 195 and my results for the entire second round had not really gone anywhere. I was frustrated. I started P90X+ and changed one thing about my diet - no carbs after 3 PM. Within a week or so I started seeing results. I'm now down to a record low weight of 183 and I haven't seen that in almost 25 years. Now, I've hurt my foot again, so I can't do any of the cardio workouts or workouts that utilize my feet - jumping stomping pressing/balancing on one foot. So, I've taken the Upper Plus work, the Core Ball Sandwich from One on One, the RevAbs free DVD that came with Core Ball Sandwich, Core Synergistics (minus a few exercises), and Chest, Shoulders & Triceps and made a workout routine that I can do until my foot heals. I continue to see good results and look forward to finishing X+ completely. I'm presently at 183 and 15% body fat. Even still, I'm starting to see my abs - faint, but there. I've become a coach. Many people at my church have noticed my change and have begun to exercise and get in better shape too. Being a coach, I'm able to give them advice and help them get on their way. I enjoy that a lot.
