After having 2 children and postpartum depression I was clearly in need for an intervention.. I was weighing in at 142 and living a very unhealthy lifestyle of not working out and not eating healthy. (My postpartum weight was 132) That's when I decided to look up p90x youtube videos for inspiration after seeing an infomercial.. I came across Lindsay Matway's video and at that moment I told myself I need to do this. I CAN do this. I WILL do this. My husband had started p90x with me in July of 2010. We finished one round together and I had finally lost 10lbs and was at my pre pregnancy weight. I have to say that my husband was a HUGE part of my commitment to the first 90 days of p90x. And I definitely recommend having positive friends and family to cheer you on the sideline! I don't think I would of made it that far without him. Through October - December I took it kinda easy. Worked out every now and than. Only lost a couple lbs. P90x did wonders for my body giving me muscle I never thought I would get. But I still had that problem area on my stomach from child bearing. So, I decided to do my own workout routine at home. A P9ox/Turbofire Hybrid Workout. So far I've lost another 12lbs! I'm down to 118. And let me tell you..my stomach is FLAT!! And I feel AMAZING! My energy level is off the charts!! My goal weight is 115 so not too much longer I will be there. It just takes a little effort (an hour a day) to get started to the body of your dreams!! I am counting down the days until Summer. I can't wait for my husband and I to be the "hott" parents on the beach. We have two little ones by the way Landon 2 and Calianna 1. They are so full of energy and so much fun!! They are also my world! I love being a stay at home mommy and helping other by giving them the motivation, determination, and inspiration to keep bringin it!!
