Growing up I was always a thin, skinny child. Vegetables to me were carrots and celery sticks! Fruit maybe an apple or watermelon! In my teens I could eat anything I wanted and boy did I!!! I remember being told it would one day catch up with me. In my thirties it did!!!

I was a stay at home Mom with 4 small children. Once they went to bed it was my time for a nice fattening snack and watching

Here is my story - I have decided this is my year !! I turned 50 in April and I won $500 in the Drive for 500 in May that MDB sponsored!! Imagine my surprise when I read a post by a buddies More ...
Here is my story - I have decided this is my year !! I turned 50 in April and I won $500 in the Drive for 500 in May that MDB sponsored!! Imagine my surprise when I read a post by a buddies congratulating me!!! I have a real passion for fitness and being healthy! I also love to mentor people!! My own coach Jodi was very inspirational to me!!!

I have to confess I am a MDB addict - I have just about all their workouts! I can't help myself I just love them. I love to mix things up and do rotations using different wos so I can incorpate all of them.

At my heaviest I weighed 189!! My first encounter was with Power 90 - after watching the infomerical early one morning I ordered it - I was tired of being a couch potato and feeling horrible! I got great results w/P90 and loved wo w/Tony. After those 90 days I tried Turbo Jam - wasn't too sure about that one - I am not the most coordinated person! It took me a few times to get the hang of it but I soon fell in love with TJ!!! At this point I had my weight down to 152!!!

Then in August of last year I received devasting news that I had cancer! A huge blow!! I had major surgery and I am convinced that my recovery went so smoothly because I was in such great shape!! While I recovered I was only allowed to do walking. Once I had my Docs ok I ordered Slim n Six. These workouts are tough but were perfect for me at this point!! I was able to gain strength and stamina!

Since I am now in full menopause keeping my weight down is very hard. It seems if I look at a piece of cake I gain 5 lbs!!! Since surgery my abs are very weak. When Shaun T came out with HHAs I knew these wos could help my weak abs!!! These workouts are so much fun!! I have the songs running thru my head all day and find myself smiling all the time!! I am seeing great results - I still have aways to go but I am getting closer!! My ultimate goal is to weigh 150.

The latest opportunity that has come my way is a promotion to Office Supervisor at my work!!! This is such a great opportunity for me and I have some wonderful ladies who will be mentoring me!! But along with this is coming alot of stress so I need to keep focused and do my workouts!!

I am happy to report that as of Aug 21 I have been cancer free for a year!!! I decided to celebrate in a wierd kinda of way - since I turned 50 in April it was time for a screening colonscopy!! The test is a piece of cake - being on a clear liquid diet the day before and the bowel prep are the worst part!! I am sharing this with everyone because I am a strong believer in screenings for early detection- I am proof if cancer is caught early you can have a good outcome! So you are due for any test or screenings please be sure to get them - schedule it today!!
