Monrovia, CA At 32, I consider myself to be a successful career woman as a high school science teacher and wife. In the past 10 years I have had increasing trouble with weight gain, especially around my belly and arms. Although I love cycling 20 miles to work with my husband, I have not been consistent with this. In 2004 my sister-in-law told me about Slim in 6. I tried it and saw results. Then I tried Power-90, Yoga Booty Ballet, and the much acclaimed Turbo Jam. Since I love to dance, these were so enjoyable that if I missed a day, it was like I didn't get to see my best friend. I also had the incentive that I was getting married to my love of 10 years and wanted to have memories of me looking great. Now after the wedding it has been 6 months and I have not been consistent. My greatest challenge is being patient with myself and PUSHING PLAY everyday. I spend so much time in my work that I don't spend enough time on me. We want to have children soon and I do not want to pass on the cycle of unfit and overweight to my children. Being consistent about Diet and exercise have always been troublesome. I am in my need of support. Someone to just say do it and have fun. I know I love to dance, cycle, hike while I am doing it. I just need a push to get started each day or maybe a sense of accountability not to let another person down by working out with them. I am weighing in at 196 pounds with a height of 5'5" so this fat around my middle has got to go. I am looking forward to dancing my way back to the cycling freak of my younger years. Then I can pass on my love for athletics to my children.
Latest Update: Ironic that my last sentence was to pass on love of fitness and sports to my children since I am now pregnant. We tried for many years and now are preparing for our dream to come true. My baby is due next month-August 2008, we are so excited. What has kept me going even though I have a high risk pregnancy due to some medical issues is working out with my baby as often as possible. If I could just remember to log my workouts!! My next chapter in this Bio will be postpartom workouts to shed the weight gained during this pregnancy.

I was preparing to get married in summer 2006. When I was working with Slim in 6 my results jump started and I lost a lot of inches. I was using the Slimming Formula tablets as well as other workouts like Power 90, YBB, and I tried Turbo Jam a few times. I had so much fun, then I dropped the ball.
After my wedding, I worked out maybe 4 times in 6 months. It is all or nothing with me I guess. I was feeling so great and confident, then I retreated back in to my old ways. I was spending so much time with work that I forgot about my health and fitness. I gained back all the weight that I worked so hard to get off. I was so mad that it happened so fast. Now it is time for a consistent life-long change, not just for a wedding, but for the rest of my life.
Another push for this is children. We want to have children soon and I do not want to put their health or mine during pregnancy at risk by continuing my current lifestyle. I eat pretty healthy, but portion size is a problem. I am going to keep healthy eating size at the forefront of my mind as I begin my journey (again) towards my happy ol' self.
Latest Update: Now that I am 8 months pregnant, I have been doing cardio, yoga, swimming and lots of walking. Keeping in shape while I am pregnant is vital to the health of my baby and for my recovery. It really helped to have been working out and the wowy website has been an integral part of my success. I am always looking forward to working out and the discipline I have learned through the Beachbody workouts I have done before and will continue after pregnancy. Now if I could just remember to log my workouts everyday!!! These pregnancy hormones do a number on my memory!
