Life before Team Beachbody was challenging. I originally started my process 4 years ago.

Exercising was going well when I first started the program in 8/06. My starting weight was 210 @ 5'4", & I had lost 25 lbs just by following the program & having a blast with the workouts. Then, 3 years ago our family hit some very rough times and I fell off the wagon HARD. Comfort Food became my friend again after the death of my mother (heart disease), mother-in-law (lung cancer), step mother-in-law (cancer) & 3 dogs (old age) in less than one year. Follow that with 3 failed attempts at adopting a baby domestically, and I gained ALL the weight back and a few "bonus pounds".

Having mild scoliosis and plantar faciitis in one foot, I know it's not good for me to carry around extra weight - it means more time & $ spent at the Chiropractor & foot pain. I felt awful, I hurt, I was lethargic, out of shape and just tired all the time.

A little while ago, I was convicted by a scripture that I read; 1 Corrinthians 6:19-20. It made me realize that I was not being a good steward with what God has given me. It re-convicted me to look at what I was doing to my health. I also know that thyroid problems, diabetes, and now Heart Disease run in my family. I want to be around for my husband and our 2 adopted children that we will be getting from the Philippines in 18-24 months. We're starting a family later in life and I need to be fit! I don't want to miss anything!!

I've made a commitment to God, myself & my family to get fit & healthy.

This time, it's TRAINING - which requires DOING SOMETHING- vs Trying - which can be thought about all day without action. So, I am now in TRAINING to get fit so we can adopt and be around a long time. I need everyone's prayers to persevere. This is hard to do alone.
