Morgan Hill, CA Hi, My name is Rick (FitnessRanger). I live in a little cabin (solar powered) on a mountain top in the Santa Cruz mountains West of Morgan Hill. I am single; currently have no pets although I consider the wild quail, cotton tail rabbits, chipmunks and occasional bob cat and soaring eagle my wild pets. Most of my life I have been in good shape. As time went on I let my outdoor activities slowly side away and found myself sitting behind a computer for many hours a day. Some days I would find myself sitting for 12+ hours a day and only getting up a few times. As this went on one day my legs started to hurt. My guess was circulation so I started back to running the hills. That took care of the problem for a year or so. Again, I slowly let the running go by the wayside. Well, the leg pain can back along with my lower legs swelling. This was not good so I started running again thinking the problems would go away fast like they did the year before. That was a big wish. I changed my diet dramatically and started running a lot which seemed to be helping my legs. At this time my left arm started going numb along with my lower jaw. Am I having a heart attack? I went to the doctor. They took many tests. The arm and jaw numbness ended up being the result of over working my arms while pruning trees on my hill. My cholesterol was high so the doctor wanted to put me on meds. I told her I just changed my diet which I thought would help. We decided to give it some time.
OK, for two years now I kept seeing P90X infomercials on the TV and now it’s time to “DO IT”. My thought is “Get Fit or Die”. I started P90X (http://tinyurl.com/3xh7frb) on 02/15/2010 and started using Shakeology (http://tinyurl.com/3992kjz) shortly afterwards. Today it’s 2 months later. The benefits I’ve received so far from changing my diet, using Shakeology and doing P90X are a lowering of my total cholesterol from 235 to 170 and lowering my morning blood pressure from 123/79 to 106/67. I’ve lost 17 lbs and 3” off my waist. I will be going in for more detailed blood work in a few months. With P90X I started seeing physical results within one week. It really works.
