Thanks to P90X I have been transformed from I can’t to I can. I can lift up my baby girl without pain in my right shoulder. I can interpret for longer than 30 minutes without my arms and shoulders becoming overly fatigued. I can go for long walks to the park for play dates and still have energy to play! I can do REAL push ups. I can lose weight and look great in a swimsuit, even after having a baby!

When I look back on my weight loss journey there are so many excuses that come to mind. I blamed my life long weight battle on being an emotional eater, my hypothyroidism, slow metabolism, surgeries, car accidents, and life just not being fair. When I joined Weight Watchers at the age of 24, I learned that excuses are useless in the journey to success. In one year I lost 50 pounds and felt incredible. I maintained that weight all the way until the age of 27 when I became pregnant with my daughter in April of 2007. While I was terrified of gaining the weight, my daughters health became my number one priority. When I went into labor I weighed in with a total gain of 47 pounds on my 5 foot 3 inch frame. On December 18, 2007 after 29 hours of labor I had a C-section. Another great excuse fell right in my lap. I used this excuse for the first 6 months post-partum. I ate well but didn't exercise and of course couldn't drop an ounce. Then I decided I was sick of wearing my maternity clothes.

My past weight loss was only by dieting. I was encouraged to exercise but just couldn’t seem to stick with a program. I would get bored, it would be too hard or easy, or I was just too busy. Funny how the TV programs I
wanted to see always fit in my schedule. After having a baby, dieting alone was not doing a thing. Then my brother introduced my family to P90X, thank you Craig!

Now I “Bring It” at least six times per week, eat healthy, and tell everyone I can about what the Beachbody community has done for my life. I have even signed up as a Beachbody Coach making the commitment to staying fit and helping others do the same. I want everyone I know to have the chance to feel how I feel. I have found out recently that I am expecting baby #2 and am thrilled. I will continue P90X modified for my status and am excited to have a much healthier pregnancy this time around.
