Hearne, TX Welcome to my Team Beachbody page. I’m 46 years old, work in masonry construction and am accustomed to hard physical work. When I was younger, I was thin and pretty active, but since I’ve gotten older, my weight has crept up and I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. I knew I needed to do something, that the path I was on was not right for me. I was tired of feeling bad and never Welcome to my Team Beachbody page. When I was younger, I was thin and pretty active, but since I’ve gotten older, my weight has crept up and I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. I knew I needed to do something, that the path I was on was not right for me. I was tired of feeling bad and never wanting to do anything when I got home except collapse in my chair. We live in the country and there are always lots of chores that need to be done or animals that tending. Our teenager also deserves a Dad that not only endures her activities, but enjoys helping her with her FFA projects and other activities. I’m not one that tries a lot of new things or believes everything I see on advertisements. In short, I’m pretty much a skeptic. But my wife’s oldest son had lost over 80 pounds using P90X, and her younger son lost around 50, so I knew it worked. About that time, my wife went to a Beachbody mini-conference in Dallas and met quite a few coaches who are real Beachbody success stories. She was so impressed with their commitment to the program and dedication to helping others that she signed up as a coach and encouraged me to do the same. At my stepson’s suggestion, I started working out with P90. He told me that even though I was used to hard work, these programs would work muscles I didn’t even know I had, so it would be better to begin with P90. He was right! I also tried to cut out sugar and bad carbs. We began eating a lot of lean meats and vegetables. After only two weeks, I began to feel a lot better, and I lost around 12 pounds. In another week I had lost 3 more, for a total of 15. I’ve always been pretty active, so commitment to diet and exercise is a hard thing for me. When I’m really tired from working physically all day, it’s easy to convince myself that I don’t need additional exercise. During the last couple of months I haven’t been as committed as I should be, but with the help of family and encouragement of other Beachbody coaches and members, I am back on track. I know I can succeed! Recently I started using P90X as my primary workout routine. I know I will achieve my goals and I want to help others to achieve their goals as well. I’m still a work-in- progress, but together we can make this our best year yet. Thanks Team Beachbody for giving me the chance to live a better life.
