Monument, CO I have struggled with my weight since college. I actually didn't struggle...I just got bigger and didn't care. I would exercise sometimes but it wasn't until my second son was 18 months old, I decided to do something about it. I couldn't use the excuse "I just had a baby" anymore. So, I joined weight watchers in 2004 and lost 20 pounds. Weight Watchers is GREAT but it doesn't teach you how to I have struggled with my weight since college. I couldn't use the excuse "I just had a baby" anymore. So, I joined weight watchers in 2004 and lost 20 pounds. Weight Watchers is GREAT but it doesn't teach you how to exercise. The weight slowly came back and in Spring 2006 I did Body for Life . This time, I loved the workout part but didn't like the diet. Accountability was what kept me doing both programs. My friend, MelissaH (check her out at http://www.teambeachbody.com/melissaH), told me about Team Beachbody. Her husband, RHudgens (Oh, my goodness...you HAVE to check out his transformation at http://www.teambeachbody.com/rhudgens), had an amazing transformation. So I decided to become a coach in March 2007 (This "Before" Picture was taken in April 2007). What is great about Team Beachbody is it has all I was looking for...the diet, the exercise, AND the accountability. Being a Coach would REALLY be accountability...people are looking at ME to be an example. YIKES! I come from a line of Type 2 Diabetes sufferers (which has almost claimed their lives at an early age). I do not want to continue that legacy. I HAVE TO have a healthy lifestyle. It is my job to impart on my family. I love to encourage others so being coach for Team Beachbody is so fun for me! It is given me even more reason to stay healthy (which I need that accountability). It is so hard to make that first step but there is no greater satisfaction than being healthy. We owe it to our family and we need to keep each other accountable. It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been with Team Beachbody. I have loved being a coach! I am held to be accountable for the life I am living! I have people looking at me for encouragement. More ...
It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been with Team Beachbody. I have loved being a coach! I am held to be accountable for the life I am living! I have people looking at me for encouragement. AND...they are having amazing results, too! My life is continually transforming. Here are the highlights: Well, I’ve completed my first round of P90X and almost my first round of ChaLEAN Extreme. I can definitely see some changes, not only in my body, but my influence on those around me. I even got stopped the other day in the grocery store by a lady who told me I had a cute figure. Me? Wow! My clothes feel great and aren't tight. No muffin top here! What a great feeling! (Sorry for the bikini photo, dad.) Some of my other friends have ordered P90X (and ChaLEAN Extreme) because of my success! My relationship with my friend and coach, Melissa H, has transformed in the past year and a half. She moved to Iowa 5 years ago. Because of Team Beachbody, we talk almost every day. Before Team Beachbody, we’d maybe talk once a week. Our friendship has grown stronger, even being far from each other. She keeps me motivated to stick with it! I’ve also seen a transformation in my eating. Even my friends are making comments about it. They are so proud of the way I have changed my eating habits over the past year (Thank You, Beachbody!). No more daily chicken biscuits for this body! The Activit Vitamins have also helped with my energy level. It’s not easy keeping up with two little boys so I need all the help I can get! My children continually keep me accountable to stick with eating healthy and call me on it. For example, my older son (age 8) said the other day, “Mom! Don’t eat that cake or you won’t have a Million Dollar Body!” I also heard my younger son (age 6) telling his cousin, “Do you know how many sugars apple juice has in it?” They are transforming and didn’t even know it! My parents are even transforming because of my transformation. My dad (recent Type II Diabetes sufferer) has started exercising and became a coach. This is the greatest transformation of them all! He is the reason I became a coach. I knew that Type II would be in my future (as it has attacked my grandmother, causing her to be home bound) and I didn’t want to continue the legacy. My mom has even started her DVD workouts and has become an Emerald Coach! Because of my life transformation, my bank account has seen a transformation as well. I’ve been able to make a little extra money by being a coach. I can get my hair done, go shopping, and have lunch with my friends without the guilt! I also got to pay for our 10 year Anniversary Trip to Barbados. How fun is that? I got to pay for it and look better than I did on our Honeymoon! Yippee! Thank you, Team Beachbody, for helping me transform my life and the lives around me! I hope to empower Stay At Home Moms like myself that they can stay home with their kids, get healthy, and make money! I can’t wait to see what will happen in the years ahead.
