I'm 35 years old. I live in Canada. I am married to a great guy who is my work out partner. We have two daughters 6 and 9. I just moved from an office environment to home office and found I am going days without leaving the house or moving from my computer all day and sometimes into the evening.

All started in 3rd year University when I became less active and ate more. I was never a small girl so when I gained 100+ pounds I became a very big girl. I tried diets which I did lose up to 90 lb but quickly gained back after kid number 2. In my teens I was always involved in team sports and rode horses but stopped these activities when mom and dad stopped paying. My husband encouraged me to take up an activity in my early 20s so of course went back to my love of horses and returned to riding even talked him into buying me a horse :). After each child, work hours and travelling for work I found I was riding less and less and my weight was going up again. In the summer of 2008 I had a bad spill on the horse due to my lack of core muscle strength so I decided I needed to do something about my fitness level. I joined a gym and hired a personal trainer. Guess what! I loved weight lifting (hate cardio). I stuck with training 2 to 3 times a week for over a year. Dropped dress sizes but no weight. I blame this due to my eating habits. Took a break in May of 2009 due to injury (can you believe dislocated my hip dancing). I started to gain weight again so started up with my trainer again a few months back. I am still happy with my trainer but I need to do more.

My husband bought the P90x program way back and it has been sitting on a shelf ever since. It was during Christmas this year when he was talking to my cousin about the P90x program and turns out she also has the program its sitting on the shelf. The gauntlet was thrown and the challenge. Start the program January and lets see who has the best results. Of course I have also joined the challenge.
