I've never been big, but in the last few years, my belly fat started to grow and
I was developing the dreaded muffin top in my jeans. My usual workout
routine that had kept me thin over the years was no longer working.

I was up early one Saturday morning getting my son breakfast and happened
upon Tony Horton's P90X commercial while in search of a cartoon for my son
to watch. I watched the entire show while my son yelled in the background,
"Mommy, my TV!" I thought to myself, "I want to look like that!" I fed my
son, got on the phone, and ordered the entire package. DVD's, recovery mix,
bands, pull-up bar, Beachbody membership, etc.

I later told my husband about the purchase and he immediately said I should
return it as it would be a waste of money! That just made me more
determined than ever! I started the program in early April 2008 and powered
through it pretty consistently. I started out slow and just worked my way up
so I could do the entire DVD routine. Now, it was not easy. I was getting up
at 5:30 a.m. to try to squeeze in a workout before the kids woke up or
dragging my portable DVD player on business trips and working out in my
hotel room or in the hotel gym with my "take-along" personal trainer, Tony
Horton. I probably looked a little crazy working out with a DVD player in a
public gym. I was so sore some days, it hurt to walk. But it was worth it.

I'm stronger, leaner, and more fit. My clothes fit better than ever, and people
frequently comment on how much weight I've lost. (Secret is - I've hardly lost
any weight, I just firmed up!)

Go P90X! Now I'm in maintenance mode and using P90X plus, P90X and
some other pilates routines. Still working to further flatten my abs, but
overall, I'm extremely pleased with my progress.
