I am a 48yof. I have always been athletic. Little League baseball with the guys. High School was Softball, Volleyball, Rifle Team, Advanced Athletics. After getting married (1st time) I let myself go. After a while I started going to the gym and got my aerobics instructor cert. I began competing in Powerlifting and Won the NC State championship for drug free in the 139 and under class. I lifted for years off and on. I was in the best shape of my life in the mid 90's.(See pic 2) I really don't lift much anymore though. I have had a lot of knee surgeries and shoulder and then some. I kind of let myself go lately. I am a firefighter so I try to not let it get too far. I got insanity from a friend and it took months to get up the nerve to try it. At first I was a little discouraged but have stuck with it. I do not follow the diet guide as I was extremely strict when I was competing and just cannot do that again. I am watching my calories and not eating junk. I am on day 45 and am feeling a lot better but not losing any weight. I have always been muscular so I don't expect to weigh what they charts show. Maybe next I will try P90X. Insanity is really tough on your joints.

I finished Insanity! Did not miss a single workout! Can't wait to go again. So worth all the struggle
