Well, I came to the point where my gluttony had gotten out of control. Pounds were adding up, slowly at first then quickly. It was that old story of poor eating habits, straight home from work on the couch with a glass of wine, watching TV. Then as time slipped by, I felt sluggish. My clothes kept shrinking on me. Then vacation photos were becoming disastrous. It was harder to get a good photo, almost painful when someone whipped out a camera. And oh that belly! I mean I could no longer fool myself into thinking I still looked good. I needed a change.
Meanwhile, with all that time in front of the TV, I’d see the P90X spots with Tony Horton, later Insanity with Shaun T., and Brazilian Butt Lift. I’d seen them for years. Then I guess it finally clicked. I said I’m not spending another summer in California hiding my body--yes guys have those issues too. So I signed up, and by fluke learned about the annual Coach Summit in L.A. There I met the people behind Team Beachbody. I toured the headquarters in Santa Monica, I worked out with actual trainers on those DVDs, and I found passionate people who believe in their product. I was convinced.
It’s early in my journey, so if I’m meeting you now, you can say you knew me back when that huge tummy was going away— Insanity with Shaun T., my healthier 2000-calorie meal plan, and Shakeology, it’s going. Already I've gained energy, and have less stress. And I'm truly I feeling better than I have in years, maybe since my mid-twenties. Now I'll be rediscovering bike trails, parks, beaches, taking advantage of all the stuff to do here in California!
