Moberly, MO I am a couple years away from turning the big 40! I have been a stay-at-home mom for 12 years now. I have 5 children! A 13 year old daughter and then 4 boys ages 10, 7 year old twins, and a 3 year old! Needless to say, life is very busy. I am married to great guy who works hard to provide for our family. I have never been an athletic person. I did not play sports in high school nor have I ever really liked "working out". But with motherhood, comes unwelcome weight gain and I have learned that if I want to feel good about myself and look good, I have to exercise. I have completed P90x, done TurboJam, Brazilian Butt Lift, ChaLean Extreme, and am half way through Insanity. It feels awesome that I have completed workouts that many people give up on. My philosophy is "Never give up and Get it done!" There are many days when I don't want to exercise but I know that if I don't, I will regret it later. I feel great and I think I look great for a mom of 5. I was extremely over-weight after having my first 2 children and never want to go back to that weight ever again. Now I am trying to keep the weight off, have more energy, and become more toned. I love that my abs are firm, not squishy:) There are still parts about myself that I don't like, like my thighs which I am working on. Good thing about Insanity, is there are a lot of squats and cardio to help burn the fat and gain the muscle.

With a new school year for the kids, I have vowed to finish Insanity! I have attempted in 2 times already but this time, I will get it done! I've got my abs toned but really want to lose my muffin top before jean season starts! I mainly have it on the sides and a little on the back. I want it gone! And I would like to work on my thighs. I am hoping that Insanity will help me with this. Not sure if it will help with the muffin top unless I break my soda habit. I heard on the radio that drinking a lot of soda can keep you from losing this.
WooHOO! Getting ready to start week 5, recovery week! Can't believe I have made it this far. My jeans are fitting a little better but my weight hasn't changed. Really disliking all the jumping jacks and push-ups in the workout but I am doing it! I took some measurements a couple weeks ago so will check them again at the next fit test. Not sure what I am going to do after completing Insanity. Shaun T is such an awesome motivator and I secretly like that some of the people working out take breaks during the workout too!
