Hi and welcome to my Beachbody coaching page. My goal is to keep you motivated and help you achieve your fitness goals. I was born in South Africa and from the age of sixteen I have been working out and taking time to stay healthy. I have a degree in Kinesiology and I am a middle school science teacher.
I became a Beachbody coach for two main reasons, I love working with people and as a teacher

In May 2009 I received one of the greatest honor as a teacher. I was teaching my 4th period class and my principal poked her head into my room and asked me if this was an ok time to disturb me. I said sure and the next thing I noticed the district superintendent walked in, followed by my wife and a photographer. Well I was being honored as Secondary Teacher of the Year for my entire district. What an amazing honor, but I was in a huge dilemma. I had three months to fit into my only suit I owned to attend the regional teacher of the year ceremony. I owned one suit from my wedding back in 1999. I was obese and no way would that suit fit me. I had two choices. Lose weight or get a new suit. So one night I couldn't sleep as I had eaten a large meal too late, I was watching tv and came across the P90X infomercial. I watched that infomercial every day for a week then purchased P90X. That was the start of my journey to get into the best shape of my life. BUT, how did I get so out of shape? I was always in great shape. I played sport in high school, competed in triathlons, ran road races, and ate well. Well this is how it happened. We had our first child in 2004 and then 22 months later had twins. Talk about an amazing yet hectic life. I had no time for anything. I would eat whatever I could get my hands on whenever I wanted to. It was survival for me. I gained so much weight so fast that I never recognized myself. So in 2009 when I realized that I needed to get into my suit and that I was obese I took control of the situation.
I am now in good shape, have all the energy to be with my amazing wife and three children, and I lead a very healthy lifestyle.

Sweat 1-2 completed. I had a hard time today as my upper body really hurt from yesterday's workout. knees up arms down is so difficult for me. My arms get tired so quickly. I know that his is working More ...

I added some weight to bicep curls and lawnmowers. BAD idea, my shoulders hurt so much all day. I think I will go lighter next time. I don't want to injure myself too soon, or never. Thanks More ...

Today was my rest day. i feel like I really needed it but I really wanted to workout. I am so excited about tomorrow, sculpt 1-2.   MAKE IT HAPPEN
