Jackson, MS My battle with my weight began while I was in College, 1985-1990. There was nothing to do up go to class-eat and sleep and do this over and over again. What a combination. I still thought I was very cute. So, went on eating and sleeping with no exercise. I will never frget I was the trainer on the cross-country team. There was nothing to do up go to class-eat and sleep and do this over and over again. What a combination. I still thought I was very cute. So, went on eating and sleeping with no exercise. I will never frget I was the trainer on the cross-country team. We stopped and ate breakfast before the meet and I had a nice little breakfast full of all the wrong stuff-plenty of plenty of syrup, pancakes and orange juice. When we arrived where we had to run and one of the team mates could not run. You will never guess who they said was going to have to run.—you guest it ME. The person that just finished eating all the pancakes, sausage and syrup. Anyway, that run did not go so well because I gave out of breath---started off good and towards the end I kept looking and people where passing me by. I was the last one to cross the finish line. My transformation from this lifestyle began December 2005. I was weighing 242 pounds that I thought I was the sexiest thing walked :-) this was around Christmas time, and my brother my brother had taken pictures and I was just posing as if I was on the run way. When I saw the pictures I said I have to do something because I was like “who is this pig.” I began drinking dieters tea, starting doing some taebo and walk away the pounds. In July 2006 in time for our family reunion I was down to 215. I had lost 27 pounds. I maintained that for a little while and I began to pick some of the weight back up. In October 2007 I got married and my husband did not like the fact that I wanted to lose weight and be healthy he though nothing was wrong with me being fat. In July 2008, my sister told me she wanted me to try something that would help me with my weight issue. She gave me a 90 day plan which was as follows: First 30 days: no meat, bread, fried food, chips, ice cream You could have vegetables, fruit, water Walk around the track as fast as you can without giving out of breath.
Second 30 days: baked fish, vegetables, fruit, water
Third 30 days: baked fish and chicken, vegetables, fruit, water
By this time I had gotten use to not having any of the do not have foods and would only follow the pattern.
In July 2009, my sister had come home for a visit and she and her husband both said” Gi. You have lost a lot of weight.” I was exercising at home, drinking my water and my dieter’s tea and the Dr. Millers Holy Tea Club. By this time I was down to 192 pounds and was doing well with the eating habits and maintain my weight. Well, in October 2009 I began working as a Security officer.
