Please email me before you start your program and I will gladly point you in the right direction. You are about to begin one tough, but extremely rewarding journey. I'll help anyway I can to keep you on path, but ultimately the motivation has to come from within to really have a successful transformation. Best of luck on your journey. My name is Jason Soland and I am from Decorah, Iowa. I recently started the P90X workout program after I saw the results a friend of mine( and now my coach) had with the program. It didn't take me long to see results and I fell in love with the program so I decided to become a coach. If this program can not only teach me to eat right, but to maitain that healthey lifestyle then anyone out there can do it. I have spent the last ten years in construction running a my own small business which has left me little time to soncentrate on taking care of myself. I was skinny as a rail in highschool, but once I got to college that all changed. I played baseball in college, but could never keep my diet in order to keep the pounds off. It was too tempting being in an all you can eat caffeteria environment all day long with no real knowledge on how to heat good. After college I didn't treat myself any better. Due to the long days and hard work that the construction world demands, I was able to eat almost anything I wanted without really gaining weight. That doesn't mean I looked good, I was just comfortable around 200 pounds. However, my lifestyle changed. I recently sold the business and went to work with Farm Bureau Financial Services. It was a good career move, but too many buffets, beers, and doughnuts have left me looking for a healthier lifestyle. I was no longer working hard all day and the pounds started piling on. I ballooned up to about 218 pounds over the first six months with no end in sight the way I was eating. That's why I'm here.

I was always skinny and extremely athletic as a kid. I was never one to sit inside and play video games. I was always the one that was calling the neighbors and getting together a football game, baseball game, basketball game, or whatever you could dream up. I never thought about what I ate because it didn't matter I couldn't have gained a pound if I tried. Then I graduated highschool and things changed. Once in college I was on self feed all day long with the cafeteria plan that I had. I was a picky eater as a kid and when I got to college I didn't like salad and veggies. I liked pizza and burgers. It didn't take long to catch up with me. I gained about ten pounds a year even though I was a baseball player and worked out on a fairly consistent basis all year. I left college weighing around 190 pounds and started working construction. Over the next couple years I didn't gain alot of weight, but 2-3 pounds a year adds up over 4 years and next thing I know I wieghed 205. I was still ok with that. I wanted to change my habits and lose wieght. In fact I tried several times to make working out a habit but I was unable to find a program that I could stick with. It was looking like I was just going to become another overwieght american and add to those mid-boggling statistics. Something had to give and it did. I proposed to my Girlfriend of 5 years last Labor Day and we set the date for January 16 2008 in Negril Jamaica. I had been looking forward to the trip all year. I had been to the Carribean several times and loved the beach. This year was different though. I stepped on the scale and found I had jumped up to 218 pounds. I didn't think I looked much different, but my friends were starting to make comments when we would get together after not seeing each other for awhile. I was starting to feel ashamed of what I had become. I was now dreading being on a beach for 7 days with all my friends because I figured by that time I would be weighing 225 with the Holiday season comiing. I decided it was time to do something. I had seen the P90x advertised on tv and even new a guy in town who had won $10,000 doing the workouts. I started talking to him and decided it was something I had to try. I ordered the tapes, and can honestly say it was the best(maybe second best, see above) decision I have ever made. When the program showed up I opened it to see what it was like and it took me less than 30 seconds to realize this was something different and I knew right away it was going to be hard, but I wasn't going to quit. I started the program the following monday, using the diet guide and supplements recommended on Milliondollarbody.com. The results were almost immediate. The weight started dropping and my body started to look different. With one month to go before our planes leaves for the wedding, I have already lost 19 pounds. I am currently 199 pounds and set my goal to lose 9 more before we fly. Ordinarly that might sound crazy, but not on this program with this help. Thanks P90x for changing my life. I will never agian weigh in and see a 2 in front of the other digits. Never.
